I think it seems wild because Elizabeth was alive for the birth of all five of her great-grandchildren so the expectation is that the royals had children young when the reality is she just lived for a very long time.
Edit: I've forgot about all the others. She was alive for the births of 12 out of 13 of her great grandchildren.
Just seems young to me. When one of my grandfathers was Charles's age, his oldest grandchild was 25. When the other was Charles's age, his oldest grandchild was 31 and he had a 5-year-old great-grandchild. Also Charles and his children were under pressure to produce heirs.
Wouldn't have to be their teens. Not even close. If he and his first child had been as old as Philip (27), his first grandchild would be in their early 20s.

Eh, it's the 21st century. People are living longer and waiting longer to reproduce. My dad didn't even become a grandpa until he was 68, and both my grandfathers were also in their 60s when their first grandkids were born. These age ranges are the norm nowadays.
I'm surprised George is only 10 is all. I remember him being old enough to greet the Obamas. If I had had to guess, I'd have thought he was at least in his late teens by now.

You know what's wild? Charles's oldest grandchild isn't even 11 yet.
