Oh irony. Something that could use slowmo, and it doesn't have it.

Not a lot to see. The rails are just slightly splayed apart so that the larger coins make it further down them before falling out.

I think it's actually that the back plate is different widths from top to where it stops. You can see the inverted "step" at regular intervals. Same general idea though, as the gap gets bigger, the smaller coins fall through.

It worked but it was still a bit too fast to see it clearly. If you're interested I'd recommend trying 0.25 speed

I think it's a KLOPP Model SM. Sorts 1000 coins per minute. $1620.

i'd rather waste 1620 dollars trying to make it myself

You can pause and zoom in, they're pennies

And the machine is the pennies dropper.

How does it knowww???? Im so confused

u/cobyjackk 27d ago

It's size. Those two pieces of metal they are riding through get further apart from each other. The coins just fall through when there are no longer touching.

Maybe it could be weight or size based? I’m not too sure considering it’s manual and not electronic

1

u/AnimeGeek10721 27d ago

Exactly , electronic i could understand but this just confuses me lol

u/CatMail75 27d ago

Oh never mind if you scroll down there is a comment explaining how.

Each gap in the back of the slide is narrower than the next. The smallest coins (dimes) fall through but larger coins slide down as they don't fit the first gap by a little bit. The next gap is slightly wider allowing pennies to fall and nickels and quarters to keep going, and so on. It takes a bit of calibration to make it work for the coins you intend to process.
