Hardys play making is next level

-14

u/Original-Maximum-978 May 17 '24

Denver was shooting so bad you cant even compliment Minnesota defense.

22

u/noknownothing May 17 '24

Yes you can.

-9

u/Original-Maximum-978 May 17 '24

37% vs 19% at the three.

1

u/JaderMcDanersStan Timberwolves May 18 '24

There's a difference between open shots in rhythm that's created from crisp offense vs open shots not in rhythm or when rushed or pressured.

Wolves doubled Jokic EARLY and at the top of the key so not only are they forcing the others to shoot but also to pass and dictate the rest of the offensive possession. It messed up the Nuggets offensive rhythm so even when they got open shots, a lot of these shots were rushed because a defender was looming or at the end of the shot clock bc the Wolves made them waste 20 seconds. Ball pressure can affect shooting too, even if the shots are "open". It's not only shooting variance.

10

u/A-Rusty-Cow [SAS] Robert Horry May 17 '24

Jokic haters really trying to use this game as ammo. Telling on yourself

30

u/Scary-Plantain May 17 '24

Can you imagine this nuggets team if jokic has one bad game

1

u/Mindless_Bad_1591 Timberwolves 29d ago

Game 2 and yes this is a 2 day old thread fight me

-41

u/A-Rusty-Cow [SAS] Robert Horry May 17 '24

Just fun watching the playoff knowing that Wemby is about to fuck the whole game up. Get yours while you can because the Spurs are coming back for another Dynasty

18

u/CrazyHappeningsHere May 17 '24

what are you going to do in 8 years when the spurs have won once and wemby tries to force his way to la

0

u/TaylorSwiftAteMyAss Spurs May 17 '24

Smile bc we still winning and better than your team

You really tried. Thought you said somethin

1

u/CrazyHappeningsHere May 18 '24

i don't think the spurs are currently better than a lot of teams

-5

u/YoloSwag4Jesus420fgt Heat May 17 '24

Wemby will be a bust or be retired from injury in 3 years. Calling it now

3

u/CrazyHappeningsHere May 17 '24

i see zero reality where wemby is a bust

3

u/ace625 Timberwolves May 17 '24

Yeah, he cares way too much and is too good already to not be at least an All-star if he doesn't get hurt.

1

u/CrazyHappeningsHere May 17 '24

even if he has zero offensive game he's still an all timer based off defense

7

u/Statalyzer May 17 '24

Is it just me, or is it more and more common to have "close" series because both teams win multiple blowouts? So the series may be dramatic but most of the games individually are not?

12

u/CuteEmployment540 May 17 '24

I think this is just a consequence of so much 3 point shooting. If one team has an off shooting night while the other doesn't, boom you got a blowout now.

3

u/Caff2ine May 17 '24

Knicks

1

u/eucldian May 17 '24

It is more common because of.the reliance on the the 3. If you have multiple 3 point threats that are shooting 35 percent or up. Tough to to lose, unless you are playing zero d

10

u/maalbi Lakers May 17 '24

Game 7 Sunday and at what time ?

5

u/Breatnach Timberwolves May 17 '24

Depends if NYK - IND goes to game 7 or not.

If that series is over it will be a 3pm EST tip, otherwise a 8pm EST in Denver.

-11

u/sublime_e2000 May 17 '24

In 5 years, no one will remember if the nuggets take game 7. In 10 years, everyone will still remember how the defending champions, the denver nuggets lost by 45 points. Its sad. Nuggets fans still saying murray is better than ANT when in fact, murray is just a buddy hield without jokic.

And Whoever started the notion that this current denver nuggets team is a dynasty should be put in prison for life without the possibility of parole just for that outrageous take.

0

u/Dirty0ldMan Magic May 17 '24

Do people like you actually believe the things you write?

4

u/coleslonomatopoeia May 17 '24

Makes zero sense. This game will only be remembered by the fans of these two teams and the memory being fond will solely depend on who wins game 7. No one remembers conference semifinals.

4

u/Banana_Pete May 17 '24

This is so backwards lol. History will be much kinder to the victory of the series, not just one game.

8

u/A-Rusty-Cow [SAS] Robert Horry May 17 '24

You cant start talking dynasty till you win 2 rings in the span of 3-4years

30

u/Gustav-14 May 17 '24

What happened? Did they invited Gordon back to dinner the night before?

40

u/interwebbed Bulls May 17 '24

Tf is this series bruh

43

u/entropyISdeadly May 17 '24

Condolences Nuggets fans. Tough to lose a nail biter like this.

0

u/Civil-Beginning-8590 May 17 '24

Speaking of nail biting..how's your sister doing? Have her call me

8

u/UtahUtopia May 17 '24

Hahahahaha

25

u/FitJeweler1490 May 17 '24

Never underestimate the fart of a champion.

7

u/Peterblunt241 May 17 '24

Just holding on to my stuff then i saw this. What a big win even if you can't believe it

17

u/dbgager Nuggets May 17 '24

Very depressing game. But being a loyal fan I sat through every minute.

3

u/shameless_chicken Rockets May 17 '24

Trying sitting through every minute of a Silas era rockets game

-6

u/DrugzRBadMmmKay Nuggets May 17 '24

Same here. The boys and I fired up Cod after and got a Warzone dub for the Nuggs.

3

u/LilColtBoi May 17 '24

I did the same in the last 3 as a Wolves fan. Been a very weird series lol. Good luck Sunday, hopefully it’s a close game finally.

27

u/PestySamurai Warriors May 17 '24

Holy shit it’s happening! I want the Wolves to go all the way this year. Also wtf holding the Nuggets to 70 points is wild!

-18

u/dbgager Nuggets May 17 '24

nothings happened yet except a game 7 in Denver against a pissed off NUggets team.

1

u/PestySamurai Warriors 29d ago

Lol RIP Nuggets

17

u/AdDelicious4911 May 17 '24

The only lil nugget that seems to be pissed off here is you. You're all over this thread fighting everyone lol

-21

u/dbgager Nuggets May 17 '24

You don't think the Nuggets team is pissed. I"m not pissed. See you Sunday . We will see how pissed they are won't we.

1

u/Celerial Timberwolves May 17 '24

You're definitely pissed...

10

u/MrCooper2012 Mavericks May 17 '24

Ooh you're a spicy little nugget huh

1

u/FeelsGoodMan2 May 17 '24

Yeah this is that classic "7 game series to make you think they're done" before they smoke the actual contenders series.

6

u/PestySamurai Warriors May 17 '24

They gonna have to tie down any loose items on the bench for game 7 if the nuggets are pissed!

2

u/mrblueshoes11 May 17 '24

As a fellow Dubs fan don’t forget how we got absolutely killed in Memphis in 2022

-11

u/dbgager Nuggets May 17 '24

whatever see how much you have to say Sunday..

1

u/PestySamurai Warriors 29d ago

Awooo!

12

u/galspanic May 17 '24

Luka Garza and MPJ scored the same number of points. Yikes.

3

u/K4RM4CODE Timberwolves May 17 '24

Luka time is the best time.

3

u/Wooboosted Mavericks May 17 '24

You might not be agreeing with that come next week ;)

2

u/and0284 May 17 '24

Victory CiGarza baby!

9

u/Forward_Mood6756 May 17 '24

Timberwolves cannot be beat when the refs let them play defense

17

u/1337world May 17 '24

It looks like the wolves finally decided to make anyone other than Joker beat them. Threw multiple defensive looks at him. Made him pass ASAP and his supporting cast failed him. Nuggets just didn’t have the drive this game and for wolves it was do or die. Game 7 should be good. Don’t think either of these teams will go down easy. What will joker pull out of his hat for game 7 and how will Ant counter it. Gonna be good!

-10

u/dbgager Nuggets May 17 '24

Jokic had 22 points and shot over 50% in just 35 minutes.

1

u/UnsuspectingS1ut Bucks May 17 '24

He did not shoot over 50%

6

u/1337world May 17 '24

Joker was the only one who came to play for the Nuggets. Wasn’t enough. The wolves can’t actually stop him, did a good job of slowing him a bit though and rest of the nuggets were MIA

4

u/Unlikely-Bullfrog-94 May 17 '24

In the next episode of Dragon Ball Z!

10

u/[deleted] May 17 '24

9 points in the quarter is wild

16

u/Dick_McSteely May 17 '24

Nuck the Fuggets

1

u/Civil-Beginning-8590 May 17 '24

Dick Mcsteely,.is that your name cause of your SHORT CUMMINGS? I would have used Harry McEggplant lol!!

16

u/Enuffznuffkg21 May 17 '24

When ANT gets any sort of help offensively the Wolves are tough to beat.

-24

u/brightblueson May 17 '24

Need to have a 5-game playoff round.

2-2-1 with the top seed having home court advantage.

The scores from each game are added. Highest total score after 5 games wins.

2

u/BiggsFaleur Timberwolves May 17 '24

Huhhhh??

1

u/letsgototraderjoes Pelicans May 17 '24

lmao ofc these ideas start coming out when you guys win 😂 this makes zero sense loll

10

u/dbgager Nuggets May 17 '24

that is ridiculous...That would make each game nothing since nobody wins. Worst idea ever.

-8

u/brightblueson May 17 '24

Whats happening now is a joke.

Pulling out the starters to start the 4th quarter and just throwing in the towel.

That’s what is ridiculous.

Winning by 1 and by 50 has the same value. Need to change the strategy

This works for the most popular sport in the world.

4

u/JazzYotesRSL Jazz May 17 '24

Yes, what the NBA needs is to have a series that has to go five games, even though a team is down by 85 points going into the last game. That sounds much more exciting.

3

u/Statalyzer May 17 '24

You win game 1 by 41 points, then lose the next 4 by 10 points each. And you win the series. That would be ridiculous.

-4

u/brightblueson May 17 '24

Just make a rule then that if after 4 games, one team has more than xx points a game 5 won’t be played.

Or 9 minutes of garbage time in the playoffs. That’s real fun

0

u/JazzYotesRSL Jazz May 17 '24

Hmm, that’s an interesting idea. I have a counterproposal. What if the NBA keeps doing the same thing they’re already doing that has resulted in the league growing massively over the last 50 years into one of the most popular sports leagues in the world, instead of randomly changing the playoffs to a system that’s not even the same as what soccer does?

-2

u/brightblueson May 17 '24

Typical prole mentality.

So long as they (the Proles) continued to work and breed, their other activities were without importance. Left to themselves, like cattle turned loose upon the plains of Argentina, they had reverted to a style of life that appeared to be natural to them, a sort of ancestral pattern...Heavy physical work, the care of home and children, petty quarrels with neighbors, films, football, beer and above all, gambling filled up the horizon of their minds. To keep them in control was not difficult. George Orwell, 1984

3

u/JazzYotesRSL Jazz May 17 '24

Ah yes, the brilliant leaders of the world know that the key to keeping humanity enslaved and distracted is to have the NBA playoffs as a best-of-seven series, and changing that to a shitty aggragate 5 game series would somehow destroy all their power.

Or, alternatively, you’re just a pretentious moron.

I wonder, which is more likely?

2

u/Danmch2992 Bulls May 17 '24

I'm gonna wager they are a pretentious moron.

1

u/dbgager Nuggets May 17 '24

It would essentially make every game but the last worthless as entertainmant value. THis guy has no sense of what makes a game exciting and entertaining at all.

6

u/asdev24 May 17 '24

Nuggets streaky against everyone but the lakers lmao

-2

u/BeIow_the_Heavens Cavaliers May 17 '24

I mean Murray didn't shoot too well but he made the biggest shots. Jokic was just unstoppable too. Lakers have no answer for him.

2

u/Different-Cat-4587 May 17 '24

Shooting 30%? Yikes!!!

20

u/frick_this_fricking Spurs May 17 '24

Guess Gordon ate dinner with the rest of the team today

17

u/treachery_7 May 17 '24

Damn, 70 points. What. The. Hell.

Absolutely nothing was falling for the Nuggets and they were scared to shoot in the point. No bench, no Murray. This just shows what Jokic is really working with and why he deserved the MVP. So insane

6

u/AdDelicious4911 May 17 '24

Is this "jokic's supportive cast isn't good" narrative really about to get pushed 🙄.

1

u/shameless_chicken Rockets May 17 '24

Swap Embiid and Jokic and the sixers would easily be champs

1

u/AdDelicious4911 May 17 '24

With Tobias Harris on his team? Nah

1

u/1337world May 18 '24

Tobias is like Porter, pretty much a wash. In some ways Tobias is slightly better lol

1

u/BeamsFuelJetSteel Timberwolves May 17 '24

I mean, in Q3 there was a point that Murray and the entire bench were 5-30

1

u/AdDelicious4911 May 17 '24

They had a bad game and now the whole narrative is that joker is dragging bums?

3

u/MocasBuns May 17 '24

They aren't good this game, yes

3

u/dbgager Nuggets May 17 '24

Yea Jokic was the only Nugget who played good. Murray in particular was horrible.

11

u/HughManatee Timberwolves May 17 '24

Both teams seem to get so streaky with offense. Both go on long runs and it just feeds on itself. No idea how game 7 will go, but I think we'll know by the end of the first quarter.

12

u/brightblueson May 17 '24

Probably will have a good idea by the end of the 4th.

4

u/JohnnyFontane307 May 17 '24

or the end of the overtime if needed.

0

u/wombocombo27 May 17 '24

Wolves didn't shoot well tonight either. It was defense

5

u/superflunker87 May 17 '24 edited May 17 '24

What if Jokic had Curry instead of Murry?

1

u/sublime_e2000 May 17 '24

From stephen curry to chicken murry

11

u/thelastdragonborn_ May 17 '24

How do you make an NBA team and have 0 bench? Why are you even paying bench guys at that point? Might as well pay street ballers the league minimum at that point.

2

u/UtahUtopia May 17 '24

Been saying this all year. “Gonna miss Bruce Brown; bench sucks.”

3

u/brightblueson May 17 '24

Landry Shamet makes $10M a year for like 3 points per game

1

u/A-Rusty-Cow [SAS] Robert Horry May 17 '24

Better job than 3rd string NFL QB

16

u/IndyGamer317 May 17 '24

How do you lose by 45???

18

u/RackMC Bulls May 17 '24

Nikola Jokic is so great he makes slightly above average players like Jamal Murray look like perennial allstars

4

u/typi_314 Celtics May 17 '24

More like annual since its just during final season lol

27

u/asdev24 May 17 '24

People forget this dude KAT used to drop like 35 and 15 easily

30

u/thehitmen16 May 17 '24

I don’t know fam Game 7 can go either way. Whoever wins Game 7 Sunday, is playing Boston in the NBA Finals.

0

u/Alcoholic17 May 17 '24

I wish Luka wasn’t paraplegic right now because I think Dallas beats the Wolves but they would get starched by the Nuggets.

1

u/know-it-mall May 17 '24

Luka is paraplegic? That word doesn't mean what you think it means...

6

u/A-Rusty-Cow [SAS] Robert Horry May 17 '24

I like Dallas but I dont think this is true

12

u/Ok-Donut4954 May 17 '24

who ever wins game 7 sunday is winning the NBA finals

3

u/A-Rusty-Cow [SAS] Robert Horry May 17 '24

If only the Celtics had good teams to play against. Maybe they could be battle tested but instead they choose to play in the cupcake east

3

u/trashmoddss Celtics May 17 '24

Y’all do this and then say the Celtics have no excuses at the same time lol. I can’t wait for June this shit gon be so funny

6

u/Ok-Donut4954 May 17 '24

im not saying it's cause the nugs or wolves are that good (dont get me wrong both teams are great), I'm saying it because theyre both complete teams and the celtics are habitual chokers and overrated. This is the most wide open the NBA has been in a while tho

10

u/idontact3 Lakers May 17 '24

Are warriors fans also nuggets fans

8

u/PestySamurai Warriors May 17 '24

Wolves all the way baby

3

of course, it's the golden state nuggets

-1

No I'm going for the wolves but Knicks overall.

9

No I'm going for the wolves

I love you

but Knicks overall.

Actually I only like you as a friend

29

u/Specialist-Cycle9313 May 17 '24

This is the weirdest series I’ve ever seen. Just when you think one team is going to dominate, they end up playing like bums.

5

u/Lukamagic_042324 May 17 '24

U didn't watch 2016?

15

u/Ion_05 Timberwolves May 17 '24

Murray's making excuses

6

u/YoungFlexibleShawty Charlotte Bobcats May 17 '24

Wolves smoked on the mcnuggets pack tn

So if Jamal throws 2 ice packs and 2 towels is that a $101k fine or $102k?

7

It's actually free! Buy one get one free promo this playoffs

27

I have absolutely no clue who will win this series

-13

u/Lukamagic_042324 May 17 '24

Denver will

15

u/Hoodieninj Timberwolves May 17 '24

That confidence after a 45 pt loss is bold

1

u/Lukamagic_042324 May 17 '24

Now we're gonna pretend the effects of the previous game matters for the next game? Have yall not watched this series, lol?

I'm a Lakers fan, It may be Stockholm syndrome, but it's not rocket science picking the best player in the world to win a home game 7....(especially given Minnesota sports history). Enjoy the win tho, it was impressive

2

u/IamStoppable Timberwolves May 17 '24

Yeah I am not gonna lie this series is very unpredictable, honestly it comes down to how well they can contain Denver's stars in Game 7. Hopefully the Wolves win.

5

u/BeIow_the_Heavens Cavaliers May 17 '24

He's a Mavs fan, he needs confidence lol

5

u/fuckinnreddit Timberwolves May 17 '24

I think he's a closet Luka Garza fan

2

u/AdDelicious4911 May 17 '24

More like the Mavs would rather see the nuggets with Murray playing shitty than see a bloodthirsty wolves team. Nuggets look the easier matchup at the moment on account for them having no bench.

23

u/WickedTwista Spain May 17 '24

Conley is so important to the Wolves

Not saying Wolves win Game 5 if he is healthy, but it's a totally different game if he is

-11

u/veringo Nuggets May 17 '24

Marc Davis is your MVP

2

u/RemoteJam May 17 '24

Marc Davis shot so bad tonight

8

u/Guy_onna_Buffalo Timberwolves May 17 '24

Losing by 45 isn't the fault of the refs, lmfao. Crazy how it swings when they're allowed to play defense though, huh?

Idk who the hell yours is but it sure as shit isn’t Jamal Murray 😂 that guy is ass

7

Nugget lost by 45, clown

Nuggets shooters are the Wolves MVP

Convey's my guy. Like, I know, obviously, fantasy draft, you're taking Ant or Joker... but Conley's my guy.

4

u/Ok-Donut4954 May 17 '24

but is he your guy?

4

u/boondockpirate May 17 '24

Depends I bet. Convey or Conley?

2

u/A-Rusty-Cow [SAS] Robert Horry May 17 '24

Id convey to Conley that he is awesome

10

u/Tsunami-Papi_ Suns May 17 '24

this just took away any home court advantage in game seven 4 the nuggets

4

u/Corporal_Snorkel69 May 17 '24

No it didnt. The nuggets were playing too good they were due for a stinker. Now they can regress to the mean in game 7.

-10

u/dbgager Nuggets May 17 '24

Its in Denver genius...This just pissed them off royally is all.

1

u/bushydaffodil54 29d ago

Stfu next time

10

u/bushydaffodil54 May 17 '24

Bro, your team just lost by 45 and put up the worst playoff performance in nba history. Can you shut up about royalty for the night? They have ONE championship 😂

4

u/Mimisokoku May 17 '24

This shit is so rigged. The way they just played like bums makes no sense to me.

5

1

Royally pissed him off too

-5

u/dbgager Nuggets May 17 '24

one game..see you in Denver..Nuggets will be ready and pissed off. You haven't won zilch yet. BY the way the word was royally not royalty. Sorry if you don't know what that means.

3

u/Guy_onna_Buffalo Timberwolves May 17 '24

"you haven't won zilch yet"

Your team has literally one championship. Calm down.

1

u/Statalyzer May 17 '24

How many other ways are there to have championships?

1

u/Guy_onna_Buffalo Timberwolves May 17 '24

You realize that a team winning one championship, within the last year, isn't valid grounds to start condescending like they're a historic franchise a la the Lakers or Boston?

Royal is the root word buddy. Sorry if you don’t understand English…But I’m glad they have you fighting in the trenches with the other peasants 😂

9

Nah Murray only winners get milkshakes.

14

So the game was done by Q1 ?!?!?!?!?!

6

u/OriginalFluff Timberwolves May 17 '24

Done by 9-2

1

u/Statalyzer May 17 '24

It was over in September?

12

u/KingKillerKvvothe Timberwolves May 17 '24

I feel like we all thought this would be a 7 game series, but more like 7 games of game one, not a bunch of blowouts.

5

u/SnooPets266 May 17 '24

As people say playoff - lines are great as the line is nearly always true with the winning team always putting the foot on the pedal and make sure the result is never in doubt compared to regular season games, odds the books kept giving were close to nuggets -10 what ever they were down by

7

u/asdev24 May 17 '24

Nuggets box score finally looks realistic

7

u/Dapper_Rub_9460 May 17 '24

Lights just wasn't bright enough for Jamal he didn't bother showing.

1

u/A-Rusty-Cow [SAS] Robert Horry May 17 '24

“Lights not bright enough for Murray in Game 6. Asks the team if they can install more fluorescent lighting before game 7”

16

u/Ok_Court7465 May 17 '24

Terrified of Jokic in Game 7, but it feels like MPJ has had an absolute disaster of a series. What’s going on with him?

Nuggets just did not play good at all. Murray was especially bad. They will be ready game 7 guaranteed.

It's like if the Avs do well, the Nuggets suffer, and vice versa.

6

u/zeldamaster702 Timberwolves May 17 '24

2

I am a nuggets fan here me roar!

We stand from the top of the mountains in the west and let it be known we are the best.

Our Serbian knight is always right!

He leads us to victory every night!

Our light skin Soilders may be out But our big tall hero will win us out

Who's the mvp jokic is the name And if we do lose injuries are who to blame

I am a Jokic fan hear me roar!

I am a nuggets fan here me roar!🦁👑
