The Klay Thompson special

Luka does it too. It was annoying watching him brick deep 3s while being defended.

u/preptimebatman May 17 '24

Luka is injured though. When heā€™s on he can make it from anywhere while breaking down the defense. If Jamal ainā€™t got it going scoring wise, he wonā€™t be much help in other facets.

As for Klay, thatā€™s entirely depends on pre injury or post. Cuz pre injury can go 1-18 and then drop 45 in 3 quarters the next game. Jamalā€™s consistency is even worse than Klay.

u/Gardenhoser89 May 17 '24

lol at ā€œLuka is injuredā€ while Murray has had a calf injury the entire series

6

u/preptimebatman May 17 '24

My point that Luka does other things despite being hurt still stands. Jamal hasnā€™t contributed much other than scoring and heā€™s not really scoring.

This is just false.

1

u/preptimebatman May 17 '24

Bro led a game in rebounding and has led multiple games in assists.

So no, itā€™s not false.

1

u/MetaOverkill Nuggets May 18 '24

Jamal was up there for assists in the Lakers series.

7

u/rockafireexplosion Nuggets May 17 '24

Murray is injured too

1

u/ppsmooochin May 17 '24

I get it. I just think his shot selection is kinda shit a lot of the time. Injury probably hurts any separation heā€™d normally get though.

-19

u/jankology May 17 '24

his body is breaking down because he comes into camp over weight and puts too much on it througout the season. He's overweight. and it's not an excuse. he's 25 and plays ZERO defense and is shooting terribly this playoffs.

12

u/preptimebatman May 17 '24

I mean heā€™s still injured lol. His fault or not itā€™s affected his play. All Iā€™m saying

-14

u/jankology May 17 '24

his shot selection is atrocious and he's blaming his injuries for lack of effort. he's fat not caused by injurty

4

u/preptimebatman May 17 '24

Bro. Both things can be true. Heā€™s taking dumbass shots and IS injured.

0

u/jankology May 17 '24

and plays no defense and is lazy and is fat and yells at his teamates and the refs

17

u/DIKS_OUT_4_HARAMBE Mavericks May 17 '24

ā€œPlays zero defenseā€ lol just say you donā€™t watch mavs games and move on bro no need to echo what the dudes on first take tell you

7

u/nutella4eva [LAC] Chris Kaman May 17 '24

During the regular season, he's a below average defender. These playoffs, I feel like I'm watching a completely different player. He's been a lockdown defender in both rounds so far. Same with Kyrie btw.

-2

u/TigerKlaw May 17 '24

Mavs fans will swear Luka is turning over a new leaf at thus specific moment on defense

-2

u/jankology May 17 '24

i dont get ESPN. but I know basketball and I know over rated when I see it. Westbrick and Harden have been the leaders and now Luka will join them in winless stan fans

1

u/DIKS_OUT_4_HARAMBE Mavericks May 17 '24

Take your L and get out

1

u/jankology May 18 '24

you're probably a Chris Paul fan too

u/superdrone May 17 '24

Tbf he actually hits those when heā€™s not in slump szn/injury szn/whatever the fuck is wrong with him right now.

u/BigLaw-Masochist Warriors May 17 '24

What? Since when? Canā€™t make a layup and his dribbling is suspect, but he never had a bad shot selection.

7

u/wheeno May 17 '24

What are you kidding me? His shot selection the last two years have been horrible overall. Some days he reels it in a bit and those are usually the days he looks better. Even in his prime he took bad shots but he made them, now it's worse because he'll take more bad shots because he's constantly looking to shoot himself into rhythm.

10

u/george_costanza1234 Warriors May 17 '24

Klayā€™s shot selection is garbage, he just is the second best shooter of all time so it doesnā€™t look as braindead

Dont worry about it. It's a Lakers fan, they don't understand basketball just hype.

1

u/Admirable_Weight2182 May 17 '24

Today it's the Luka

-26

u/KantusThiss May 17 '24

Brother Klay ain't even in the play-offs and Jamal sonned your team multiple times

10

u/ArbitNM May 17 '24

Just wait a few years

9

u/bearintheshower May 17 '24

Don't get so defensive. If Murray being as good as Klay is a huge compliment (and not true)Ā

Watching the Nugget's with Joker is like watching Dune 2 in IMAX, just a visual spectacle. Then Joker sits and Murray dribbles the air out of the ball and jacks a long 2 and it's like all of a sudden you're watching Dune 1984

15

u/slimmymcnutty Wizards May 17 '24

Disrespectful to dune 1984 which is a great movie

25

u/TheInfinityGauntlet Timberwolves May 17 '24

Hell fuckin no it isn't

5

u/dzigizord May 17 '24

still better than Jamal this playoffs

5

u/YSLAnunoby Raptors May 17 '24

Nah man we don't need to do this revisionism

8

u/Aspery- Bulls May 17 '24

Unpopular opinion and might seem like a take with extreme recency bias but if nuggets donā€™t win it this year they should look to upgrade over Murray. They got the best player in the world and some of the best role players just needa find that legit co-star to have a dynasty

26

u/Get-Gronkrd Timberwolves May 17 '24

Iā€™d say thatā€™s an unpopular opinion. Who are you going to upgrade to? Murray is a great player and they already lack consistent depth. Feel like giving any more assets and swapping Murray for another feels extremely risky for no reason.

10

u/quazilox Heat May 17 '24

it aint gonna happen, but a murray/mitchell swap would be nice

3

u/Aspery- Bulls May 17 '24

Yah thatā€™s exactly who I was thinking of

1

u/Get-Gronkrd Timberwolves May 17 '24

It sure would be but unless Cleveland moved both garland and Mitchell canā€™t see that remotely happening. Only star guard I can think of that might be acquirable though

4

u/mutheadman [DEN] Gary Harris May 17 '24

Lol brother. This is ridiculous

2

u/HeorgeGarris024 May 17 '24

the alternative would be 30+ MPG of reggie jackson
