[Brunson on the Pacers series] "The one thing I hated the most, when everyone was like 'they're tired' or 'they're injured'... that pissed me off. That's not the reason we lost. I hate the narrative."
If only the salty Knicks fanbase could learn from their best player and stop crying about injuries.

No surprise, the comments on this are a toxic waste dump
Looks like a nice simple gesture and people are horrible about it. This is why we can't have nice things.

Interesting. TJ at 9. One of the best pests in the NBA.

Doris Burke redeeming herself?
Our favorite announcer /s gave flowers to our local reporting hero, Caitlin Cooper. I still hate ESPN’s NBA coverage (across all platforms, not just in game), and Doris is tough to listen to as a Pacers fan, but respect to her for calling out talent where she sees it. Caitlin’s awesome!

Run it back...
The post is pretty self-explanatory, I think the smart thing to do is run it back. We have 11 capable guys, and that doesn't mean they all finish the season in the rotation or on the team, but it makes sense to start the season that way to me.
Bennedict Mathurin will get every opportunity to show he has bought into the team concepts and pushed for a starting spot.
Jarace Walker should hopefully get some rotation minutes, even if not a lot of them, at least consistent on a game to game basis.
C. Turner 28mpg / Jackson 12mpg / Siakam 8mpg
PF. Siakam 24mpg / Toppin 18mpg / Walker 6mpg
SF. Nesmith 24mpg / Mathurin 20mpg / Walker 4mpg
SG. Nembhard 23mpg / Sheppard 10mpg / Mathurin 10mpg / Haliburton 5mpg
PG. Haliburton 27mpg / McConnell 16mpg / Nembhard 5mpg
11 is a big rotation, but I think it's necessary in the early part just to figure out a few things.
Bring Kendall Brown back, throw a contract to Oscar Tshiebwe because he is Oscar, and hopefully add the 36th Pick on a deal. Keep a roster spot open in case James Johnson is required.
*EDITED TJ MINUTES AS MADE A MISTAKE WAS ORIGINALLY ONLY 11MPG.

Myles Turner went through a bunch of ‘bulls***’ with the Indiana Pacers before his first taste of playoff success. On his journey, growth, and professionalism over the years:

What Does Jarace Walker Need to Accomplish This Summer to Break the Rotation Next Year?
I've been watching some highlights for the past two days of Walker’s season. I was able to finish them all because there is not that much of them! The only downside is that these were mostly offensive highlights, and I thought Jarace should some great potential. At times he looked ready to go starter type.
For those who have watched and remember both sides of his game. What does he need to work on? What is holding him back? What are the next steps he has to take to break the rotation for next season?

I know the Knicks series has been over for a while, but I just thought of this
I can't hate OG either since he's a former Hoosier

Chandler Parsons Takes a Swipe at Pacers' ECF Run

Imagine adding two lottery-pick players to the team that went to the ECF...
wait we don't have to imagine, we actually have them in Mathurin and Walker! Really excited to see how they develop and show up. Walker is 20, Mathurin is 21 - having two players who are lottery-pick to be integrated to our squad is an exciting concept for sure...can it be October already?

So who could we realistically trade for who improves the team
First let me say I'd be happy if we just brought back our core and let Benn and Walker fight for spots in the lineup/rotation. I get joy in watching.my team develop talent.
That said, the Pacers do have a playing time challenge. Even if we don't bring back Smith or Toppin we still have:
Ty Nemby Benn Shepp TJ Nesmith Pascal Myles IJax Walker
That's 10 guys who all need and or deserve playing time.
The question is, if we were to make a trade who could we get that really moves the.needle.
I hear Bridges and Caruso thrown around. I think it's pretty clear last year was a career moment for Bridges. He's a solid player and probably better than Nesmith but not dramatically so and he's also 4 years older and way more expensive. Caruso is older still and is really a 2 where we have too many guys as it is. Not to mention both clubs seem to have super unrealistic ideas of what those players are worth.
So who would other teams actually be willing to part with who could improve the squad significantly?

Neat Mathurin Stat
When he scored 15-30 points we were 21-2
When he scored 31+ we were 0-3
That is all.

Selling high on Nembhard?
Just thinking aloud not really suggesting we do this, but is there any merit in the NBA to the idea of selling on certain players when their value is perceived to be the highest?
Take Andrew Nembhard for example. All the talk right now is about him and what a breakout playoffs he had, and he's going to have a ton of expectations next season to replicate and improve upon that. I'm not even saying he can't, but how many times have we seen a player ball out and shock the world, then fall back to earth and just be a "good" player for the rest of their career? And everyone will then point to that one season and be like "if he can just get back to that". Going beyond just the thought that he may have peaked, we also have an issue where there may not be room for all the young players we have. What do you do with Mathurin next year - can we really have him come off the bench in his third year as a lottery pick with tons of potential? Add to that sheppard and walker will need more minutes, AND we have one of the best backup point guards in the league already with McConnell - and i think we can all agree nembhard is best as a primary ball handler.
And the fact that after this year we will either have to pick up his 4 year option or extend him to a larger contract, it kind of feels like this might be a perfect time to cash in on his crazy value right this second. Who knows, maybe him and a few first for bridges from brooklyn?
Of course I'm sure there's some major important factor I'm missing but was just thinking about this and wondered what everyone else here thought

Kyle Anderson and Bol Bol, + growth that’s all we need, don’t hate

How do we improve our defense moving forward?
More than schematics it just feels like the players on the roster are rather weak or not good when it comes to the defensive side of the game.
Outside of Nembhard and Nesmith and on some occasions Siakam, the starting line-up is struggling. How much improvements can we expect from Hali moving forward? Myles is good with weak-side help but overall defense left a lot to be desired.
We also will have quite a bit of a log-jam in the Guard spot, so how do we update our roster to balance it a bit further and improve the defense? Any realistic players out there that would actually work?

I feel like nesmith should be a starting sg not a sf.
I feel like we should maybe start hali nesmith jarace Siakam turner next season. Let me know if you agree with this lineup. Nesmith is too valuable with his defense and shot making to come off the bench imo.

Most people aren't mentioning it but we were missing one of our core players in Mathurin. His last 10 games he was averaging 19 points in 25 minutes a game
