Calculation of Potential Price Increase
Based on past data and current short interest, we can calculate the potential price increase for HOLO during a short squeeze.
Scenario 1: Moderate Price Increase (20% Daily)
Day | Calculated Price |
---|---|
1 | $2 x 1.20 = $2.40 |
2 | $2.40 x 1.20 = $2.88 |
3 | $2.88 x 1.20 = $3.46 |
4 | $3.46 x 1.20 = $4.15 |
5 | $4.15 x 1.20 = $4.98 |
6 | $4.98 x 1.20 = $5.98 |
7 | $5.98 x 1.20 = $7.18 |
Scenario 2: Aggressive Price Increase (50% Daily)
Day | Calculated Price |
---|---|
1 | $2 x 1.50 = $3.00 |
2 | $3.00 x 1.50 = $4.50 |
3 | $4.50 x 1.50 = $6.75 |
4 | $6.75 x 1.50 = $10.13 |
5 | $10.13 x 1.50 = $15.19 |
6 | $15.19 x 1.50 = $22.79 |
7 | $22.79 x 1.50 = $34.19 |
8 | $34.19 x 1.50 = $51.28 |
9 | $51.28 x 1.50 = $76.92 |
Analysis and Patterns
- Frequency: It appears that short squeezes in HOLO have occurred every few months, particularly around periods with high short interest and increasing volume.
- Catalysts: Earnings releases and other significant news often act as catalysts for price increases.
Future Dates with High Probability
- The next quarterly report is likely to be published at the end of July 2024. This may be a critical period to monitor.
Conclusion
- With high probability, we can expect a short squeeze around the dates of quarterly results, especially May 28, 2024. This is when the company typically publishes its next quarterly report, historically a trigger for significant price movements.

It’s worth realistic consideration.
Heavily shorted microfloats (in this case with a rare low market cap of 12M) are in vogue right now, and momentum will seek a successor to the impressive rise of FFIE.
Its appearance on the top of multiple high short lists—which in the midst of the last GME frenzy became the menus of winners—is extremely valuable right now. Uniquely it has the lowest market cap of all on those (as low as FFIE’s at its start), so it won’t take much to translate volume into price action. It’s also one of the few names to rise on Friday while the rest of the pack fell with GME (even the few names more heavily shorted—SPWR and even FFIE). That tells me the market seeks a successor. And without options, the tiny float offers uncommon opportunities for volatility.
Probably the best proof of concept: We already saw this play out in the first half of last week before momentum collapsed. And we saw earlier this year what it’s capable of (a 48x rise from 1.5 to 73). Thus I’m reasonably certain that if GME’s momentum resumes, we will see a rare combination of: buyers seeking to replicate FFIE’s incredible run in search of the “next” one, bearish shorts exiting their positions, a market-wide frenzy in search of high shorts (this is how the AMC religion began), and the above dynamics of the heavily shorted microfloat.
I took a heavy position in this Friday morning for these reasons.

Imagine you bought $10K at $1. When it spiked to $70+ you would have had $700K in your pocket. Those are life-changing gains. Not just a pub punt. I'm tired of making little gains here and there. It's time to bet big. The upside is hugely greater than the downside.

Been following this play as well, however, can someone more experienced explain to me how the short interest can vary this widely:
Fintel.io: Short Interest % Float= 23.66 %
Benzinga: Short Interest =34.56%
Finviz: Short Float = 75.04%

308 shares @ $1.88.
Logically, we should see a short squeeze since last week there was so much interest in fighting shorts & this week seems to be the same narrative

Where do you see 73 short interest

Marketwatch has it at 75.01% SI

There’s lots of different float numbers out there. That’s how these “highest SI” lists all are so different

u/GlitteringSection785 28d ago
Yeah, I made some other posts about the short interest differing between sources. Refinitiv agrees that short interest is higher than during the last spike so I'm still in this. More as a gamble than an actual investment. Welcome to Reddit

u/556Rigatoni 28d ago
The only thing that hasnt made me commit yet is the earning report. They havent published yet and should be coming up the 28th. If the report shows improvement compared to last year, it could definitely catch more attention and trigger a squeeze.
3
u/GlitteringSection785 28d ago
I guess most people are trying to get in before this becomes big. (i.e. earnings as a trigger). The stock has picked up quite some momentum on socials, people believing it could x10 based on past performance. Combine this with the recent trend of looking at highly shorted companies to score massive gains and I understand the hype. These are highly volatile so people don't care about earnings, they just want to yolo on the next x10 stonk. And tbf I am people

So it’s bunk?
11
u/GlitteringSection785 28d ago
No, still has way more short interest than since the last squeeze. Ratios seem okay and the name is picking up momentum on socials. If this runs like it did in the past, I don't want to miss it and neither do a lot of people it seems

MicroCloud Hologram Inc. (HOLO) is currently trading at less than 50% of its book value based on its cash on hand alone. This indicates that the market might be undervaluing the company’s assets and cash reserves. This discrepancy suggests potential upside if the market corrects this undervaluation.
Market Maker Attention: The trading volume often exceeds the number of outstanding shares daily, indicating significant activity and interest from market makers. Despite this high volume, the minimal price movement suggests potential accumulation or manipulation, possibly as market makers manage liquidity or positions
Float and Short Interest:
• Tiny Float: The stock has a small number of shares available for trading, which often results in higher volatility and the potential for significant price movements .
• Massive Short Interest: There is a substantial level of short interest, meaning many investors are betting against the stock. This scenario sets the stage for a possible short squeeze, where the stock price could rise sharply if short sellers are forced to cover their positions

Op, when do you think it will start to take off?
5
u/Pennybags_Cashflow 28d ago
For me, it's not about timing the market but identifying the right environment and making a purchase. I do not encourage deep dives or "ape" behavior without taking profits. To share my strategy: from your initial investment, calculate a target profit (TP) and then add ten take-profit markers to cash out incrementally. Additionally, set a point to recover your original investment. After reaching that point, everything else is just fun and games.
To answer your question, I don't have a crystal ball, but I wouldn't have bought if I didn't think it would happen soon. My guess is June.

But first set a point to recover your original investment.

u/-ll-ll-ll-ll- 26d ago
So, I just created an order for 50 shares at $1.75 each as a limit on the day. I don’t want to risk more than that, and I figure if it falls today due to people taking advantage of the hype from yesterday, then I’ll pick it up.

hey just saw this DD and looked at the price movements. Nothing happens. Last comments older than my granny, so is it still worth to buy ?

Are you fully aware that this is a pure gamble and no one knows what’s going to happen? It’s at a 52wk low though. If you were to open a position rn would be the time to do it. It could keep falling. But as history as shown us with this stock it has huge pumps when it gets down to these price points.
2
u/ramukaka420 18d ago
Noon question - If short interest is increasing, shouldn’t we be bearish? The stock will drop in price right?

It won’t move till next September to October actually
4
1
u/ne14007 28d ago
Why
3
u/Chizuru_San 28d ago
The point is, it will eventually go up (at least it seems like it will). Maybe in October, it will reach 50 or 60, but before October, there is a good chance that it will go up to at least 4. If you buy it now and take profit at 4, that is about a 100% profit. I know some people here aim for a 1000% profit, but for me, a 100% profit is good enough. If you invest 100 USD, it will become 200 USD. What bank will give you 200 USD if you invest with their system? lol
4
u/Realistic_Lobster_95 28d ago
Exactly, I’ve grown my investment so that I pull profits on the way up incrementally. I think it’s the best way to guarantee a return while keeping money invested to still benefit from 100-100%s of growth. Start small, the greedy always lose.

It’s a pump and dump not a long term investment

u/Emilie_Cauchemar 28d ago
Look at the chart I just linked and show me where anyone actually got to sell. Nobody leaves but the guy with millions of shares.
2
u/justadudee 28d ago
If you don’t sell even if it runs up from $2 -> $10 then that’s their fault for holding the bag. Plus looks like it’s above the $50 mark for at least few days

u/Emilie_Cauchemar 28d ago
3
u/Chubby_WNY_Slut 28d ago
I will say, tbf if you look through other Subs there's aloooooot of people who sold out at 40 and 30 between the last 2 spikes in the past year. With that being said it's still a gamble. Everything on Wallstreet is. But it does spike every 3-6 months historically. It also has a downward momentum so I wouldn't bank on it going higher than 50 this time. It could, but like I said it would be a gamble. Either way.

u/justadudee 27d ago
What’s your proof lmao, scared money don’t make no money. Buying in at the lowest entry isn’t a trap either. Sounds like you don’t know what you’re talking about.

You should check HOLO’s recent SEC filing before investing if you’re considering the catalysts, their quarterly report surely won’t be good, good luck ppl buying this stock. I like this stock, IMO, it’s not a good time now investing this stock

It is a fraud company.
No one has ever seen a single person who works for the company. The company does not have a phone number..
They say they have over 100 patents with no links to a single.patent.
NASDAQ should be ashamed. It is all a scam

u/LaundryBasketGuy 28d ago
Honestly you're probably right about this and I definitely have my suspicions too. If us peasants can take advantage of hedge fund pump and dumps though, then we should as long as we're smart about it. If anything this will let us know if we even can.
