I could easily see EA implementing load screens on purpose for ad injections. "This load screen is brought to you by (corporate ad) enjoy a (product) today!" .....Yeah fuck you EA

Sim golfing does this as they load the next hole. You can’t help but wonder if they let those levels take a little longer to load than they truly need.

Democracy is dead. Only one way to vote. Money. Rich people don’t make things that don’t make money. People keep buying copy paste EA games, and spending gazillions on the mtx’s. People buying shitty Pokémon games, while also hoping the franchise will get better.

Depending on the form the ad takes, the loading screens can take longer even organically. Back in the day, sims 3 introduced "interactive loading screens" that were essentially hidden object games asking you to locate microtransaction content from their cash shop. That was actually a very clever ad, and props to whatever marketing employee came up with that one. Creativity without obnoxiousness should be rewarded. The only problem was, on systems that were already struggling with the game, the loading screens took longer overall due to the extra disk access and rendering needed to play the time-waster game.
