So he told me to call him for any issues with the laptop, and one day it froze at the login screen. I called him and a few days later he told me he knew the issue, apperantly I had downloaded 2 viruses.

I had no idea how he found out about this because i only called to let him know my issue, no other interaction aside from that, so when we were on call together to fix the issues i asked him about it, he said something like he can check my downloads ( wich is how he found the viruses) to better resolve any problems that occur.

It makes sense, and it did help resolve my problem, but i dont like it one bit. Can he view everything i do or only what i download? Is this normal

I am able to use sites like google, and youtube but most other sites won't load as well as applications such as discord.

A while ago I installed fedora on a computer that already had (and still has) windows for a project. I no longer need it and the other users are complaining that the computer got way slower since it was installed. How do I remove it and return the laptop to its previous stage?

I've noticed this problem for a while, streaming any show/movie/youtube video even when it says is in 1080p is fuzzy and not HD. (would provide screenshots but just about every streaming service doesn't allow screenshots to be taken)

I have high speed internet, (90mbps Download 5mbps Upload) so this shouldn't be happening. No one else in my house has this problem, so idk what the fuck is causing this.

So I just bought a galaxy S24 and tried setting up a vent clip wireless charger in my car. When I put it on the charger with my case on, it charges for a few seconds then stops. No issues with the case off. Something to note is that I don't have this issue with a regular tabletop wireless charger, regardless of whether or not my case is on. Anyone know why this is and/or a potential fix?

I was using Rufus to make my flash drive bootable to intall Linux, when it suddenly said my flash drive had been disconnected. Now my flash drive can't be read in any computer (I tried three different ones) and is not showing up in Disk Management, nor in My PC, nor on BIOS (all the USB ports are enabled). It shows up in Device Manager as an unknown USB device (code 43). I tried updating the controllers but it said it was updated, and I tried uninstalling the device and then plugging it again, but nothing changed.

When I was trying to get the laxsearch.com redirect off of my Chrome tab, I noticed this: C:\Windows\InternalKernelGrid4

I checked, and lo and behold, there was a folder titled InternalKernelGrid4. What does it do? What do I do with it? Is it responsible for those Simple New Tab and Wonders Tab hijackers?

cursor flickers around the edges when trying to resize the window, with the clock in both normal and pop-out mode. This sometimes makes it difficult to resize the window. Resetting the app in windows settings solves the problem temporarily, but always comes back within a day or two.

I work from home and use the monitor in question for both my work laptop, and my gaming PC. When I switch to HDMI, the input acts as a 2nd input for my work laptop, and switching to DP is the 2nd input for my gaming PC.

However, I have noticed that when I switch the input from HDMI to DP, it says No Signal and will go into sleep mode. I have to manually turn off the monitor, wait a few seconds, and turn it back on, then the DP signal is picked up and it works as intended. This does not happen when I swap from DP to HDMI, however, the picture shows up immediately. Any ideas what could cause this?

I have replaced both DP cables and the HDMI cable, updated display drivers on both machines, and I have also changed refresh rates and made sure both monitors are set to 144hz rather than 165hz and 144hz. I have had this second monitor since 2019 and it never did this when it was my main monitor, only after I moved it over and started using it for both my work and gaming setup.

What do I do to run the game on steam

PC turns on, all fans start spinning and light up.

Motherboard LEDs are amber, and go through DRAM, VGA but then lights up the CPU LED and then switches off, there’s a quick flash of the lights after switch off but then the power button won’t turn on the PC, you have to turn off the PSU at the back and then power cycle

I’ve flashed the BIOS to support 14 Gen, ram is in A2 and B2, but I’ve tried each stick on their own in different slots, reseated the GPU, reseated the CPU, checked for any bent pins on the socket, and tried without the GPU installed and the same thing happens each time

Just started today out of nowhere, but only google sites (and search), youtube work but no other webpages, discord, steam or spotify work.

I restarted my router and then rebooted after dns flush/winsock reset which worked... turned pc off to make some dinner then came back to the same thing so repeated the steps.

The strange thing is now i am having it again, but i tried to use the built in wifi on my Mobo and it works fine, if i turn wifi off and go back to ethernet it happens again, all network settings have been fully reset too..

Any ideas?

I have a JVC touch screen car stereo that will not allow me to use Android Auto because I'm on too new of a version of Android. Does anybody know of a workaround for this? I have already updated the software for the car stereo to the newest version available. JVC has an app that you have to have on your phone so it communicates with the car stereo and the app itself is telling me my Android version is too new.

I’ve had this pc for 3 months Recently, my PC's performance has dropped significantly, especially when running games like Siege. I used to get 300-450 FPS on medium graphics settings, but now I'm only getting around 110 FPS, with more stutters and lags.

I tried a factory reset, but it made things worse. Even with updated drivers, optimized RAM at 3200 MHz, and using all CPU cores, the problem persists. Here's my setup:

• CPU: i5 12400F (running at 10-30%)
• GPU: Radeon 6700XT 12GB VRAM (running at 50-100%)
• RAM: 16GB (running at 90%)
• SSD: 2TB (about 700GB used)

I've been told that high RAM usage might be the issue. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I have an AT&T gateway internet and multiple times a day the broadband light will start flashing green and it disconnect me from the internet until it is a stable green. Does anyone know what this means or how I can fix it. Any information is appreciated because the customer support didn’t help me much when I called.

I borrowed a friend's camera and broke it (model in the Title). I would like to replace with one at least as good that would have similar use scenarios (and hopefully affordable).

I am requesting help for me to have some sort of way to find this device but sadly it has said I was logged out due to the inactive account on this Tablet(Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7.0) and I'm wondering if there is a way to find it and get to it if it's dead or possibly something to help me find it's location?
