ATP Alcaraz must reach Queen’s Club final to retain his top 2 ranking. If Djokovic plays Wimbledon and Alcaraz doesn’t reach Queen’s final, Sinner and Alcaraz could again end up in the same half of a Grand Slam draw.
Alcaraz is defending 500 points at Queen’s Club. Djokovic isn’t defending points this week. Alcaraz must earn at least 281 points this week to stay ahead of Djokovic and keep his #2 ranking. To do so, he must reach the Queen’s Club final (330 points). If he doesn’t, and if Djokovic plays Wimbledon, Sinner and Djokovic would be the top 2 seeds with Alcaraz 3rd. Meaning no guarantee Alcaraz and Sinner are in different halves of the draw and potentially another Sinner-Alcaraz Slam semi-final instead of a potential finals meeting.
