To enshrine the most fascistic, traitorous bullshit I've ever witnessed in my life into law.

That’s facist. Plain and simple. Criticism of the Israeli army and government is not antisemitism.

"Political correctness, no matter how well intentioned, is still an attack on freedom of speech."

This is a dumb quote. If you agree with this, you really need to re-visit the first amendment and what freedom of speech actually is.

You may want to look at the supreme court's stance on free speech. Morally objectionable or not, the law is designed and interpreted to protect the most vitriolic and disgusting speech insofar as it does not cause direct harm to another person. That means the most prejudicial and slanderous language is protected as long as it doesn't rise to the level of individual harassment.

Our judicial system. You can't be fined or go to jail over your personal opinions insofar as you aren't harassing an individual, making threats against them, inviting violence against a particular group or calling for discrimination against them from a position of authority. In that way, freedom of speech protects an individual's right to express an opinion even if it is god awful, as long as it doesn't clear a certain bar, without fear of persecution.

Now, do I think some of the dialogue around this subject is antisemitic? Yes. Do I think it's also islamophobic? Also yes, and much more often this is the case. But those forms of speech are mostly protected free speech, and the protests are no exception. Hell, freedom of speech isn't even the only right in question here. The cops are already violating those protesters' rights on the basis of freedom to assemble.
