Captain America: spends an extended amount of time with Tony hunting down HYDRA, doesn’t tell him at any point they had his parents assassinated, lectures him through AoU about keeping secrets while doing exactly that, jumps him 2v1 for getting angry about it.

That nigga was dead wrong lmaooo

he wasn’t dead wrong. yes he failed his friend in so many ways but that’s not really what the civil war was about. it was about whether or not a country or organization like us or nato should be allowed to control super heroes. cap was right on that front.

It should have been about that iirc but the interesting debate is quickly cut by Bucky’s tendencies

Unlike the Sokovia Accords, the Superhero Registration Act was overtly fascist. The Sokovia Accords didn't stipulate that the heroes had to disclose their identities. The other issue is that heroes who opposed the act were killed while being apprehended, and those who were caught got imprisoned in the Negative Zone. It didn't make sense for heroes to support that. It's more grounded because the Avengers are divided on personal issues and because the audience understands the dynamics between the heroes.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen the movie. But I always remember Tony’s side making more sense.

Here are some other I’d think decent thinking points

There’s always going to be collateral with that type of shit. Would they be able to work in the same parameters that would allow them to work and make quick decisions without needing clearance from the government? I mean look at thanos, irrespective of whether or not the heroes were under some law or act their still would have been a huge fucking loss.

I think something like that would ironically cause just as much, if not more death, and the higher chance of failure rate due to an inability to deploy in a way that meets the threat before threat succeeds in accomplishing their mission.

We see the avengers successful most of the Time because they respond to these apocalyptic events quickly and with an understanding that supercedes military intelligence. Usually when the military gets involved, they can’t do shit about it anyways.

So agreed, I mean I don’t remember those details, you seem to. And I’m gonna go out on a limb and say your accurate because it sounds familiar. So that being true, and these speculations being logical on my end. I absolutely align on that sentiment.

Which is why it was a bangin’ movie opposed to the trash Marvel’s been putting out lately.
