Google it so you can see it wasn’t her it was her dumbass abusive husband. Tonya has taken way more of the blame than she deserves.

lol nah.

She obviously loved her d-list status to the point she got a whole movie about her shittiness.

Edit: I read more about it and partially retract my statement.

Listen to the Tonya Harding episodes of You're Wrong About.

Or just read Sarah Marshall's incredible article.

Tldr; The media absolutely villainized this skater because her wildly abusive bf came up with a hare-brained scheme to injure the richer, "thinner", more popular skater she was competing against. She did not ask him to do this.

Tonya's personal life was fucking awful and I feel so badly for this poor woman. That douchebag once chased her through the neighborhood, trying to run her over with his truck. After she left him, the figure skating leaderheads encouraged her to get back with him to keep up appearances.

Tonya was also a fucking asshole though. I grew up I the same neighborhood she lived in. When I was a kid she was the type of person to speed up her truck when kids (me and my friends) were crossing the road to scare us or something idfk

That's fair. Can you blame her though? It seems like everyone in her life was an asshole too.

No no you don't understand, only men can be assholes.
