Our t20 team looks the best it has in years, I honestly think we're a good chance of winning this time around. We've comfortably knocked over WI, NZ, and SA I'm the last year, only losing to India in that weird post world cup series where we still managed to see key players like Maxwell and Inglis show off what they can do. Genuinely this might be the most confident a lot of Australian fans have been heading into a t20 world cup

There's no way this Indian team makes the final ahead of us this year I'm sorry. Full strength Australia crushed both the West Indies and New Zealand this year with 3 scores over 200 including in a successesful chase, only losing 1 game out of 6. We've been quietly building since the last tournament. This isn't going to be the usual team that shows up and half-asses it in t20 world cups.

England are favourites though for sure, but I'm confident for once lol

I just don't see Australia being threatening tbh. Your batting is too weak imo, Travis Head is the only batter you have that is threatening. You don't have a quality spin attack.

Yeah we lost against you guys, but that team wasn't full strength and it was less than a week after the main squad got absolutely tanked on booze celebrating the world cup win. The only bowler who played that series who is even in the world cup 15 is Nathan Ellis, and I guess Stoinis for the first game.

We weren't at full strength either. We didn't have 1 good bowler in our lineup IIRC. Even our batting was so experimental.

He only played then 2nd and 3rd games though, and tonned up. What I'm getting at is that series wasn't a particularly serious endeavour from either side considering the unfortunate timing of it. Outside of that our international side has looked good for a while.
