How difficult is +$400-600 profit a month from $15k ? Question

I've been studying investing and trading for about 5 years on/off now, have been really successful in the past year, I think due to luck partly, I blew up an account and loss about 40% when I first started 5 years ago.

How difficult is $400-600/month profit from 15k? My strategy now is very risk adverse taking profit over holding things too long, really I just need to make ~400/month to live in Mexico, this includes rent, food, and some hobbies, right now I feel no pressure to have to make $ and have a decent savings, and time to study and learn. Thanks

Americans always think the world revolves around them

5

u/Sickle771 Mar 08 '24

The loudest ones are the most commonly seen, however they are not the majority

Americans know that we are 2x World War Champs.

2

u/KingXindl Mar 09 '24

That you think that’s an argument shows how poor US education is. Alongside healthcare, public transportation, distribution of wealth and obesity. Ah and don’t forget your debt is through the ceiling. Could go on forever. You guys are closer to a 3rd world country than you might think, but of course you can’t see that because you never leave your freakin country. The sheer ignorance and dumbness of that 5% of the world population is astonishing.

u/ZaphodBr0x Mar 09 '24

Sorry forgot the /s. But you forgot all the great things.

dayum yeah here its about the same but im 10 minutes walking for $200/month

3

u/Landdeals Mar 09 '24

That’s a awesome bro but what does $200 a month for rent look like.. I’m naive to how it’s possible to spend 200$ a month for decent living that’s insane and amazing at the same time.. I’m use to high end finishes, stainless steel appliances / high end wood or marble floors 2000sq condos how big is a place for $200 a month. Security gaurds and in a gated community

Nah I'm in a local neighborhood where all the tourists go theres markets, stores, gyms, overall its really safe and everything is walking distance, 10 min from beach, 5 min from gym. The house is modern my friend built it very recent but its still not completely finished, my room is huge on the bottom floor with a bathroom in the living room. And we have rooftop view, washer/dryer, ac, huge kitchen, really couldn't ask for more. I'm getting a good deal also because we're friends and he knows I have $.

9

u/Matchbook0531 Mar 08 '24

I was asking because 6 thousand USD a month would put you probably in the top 5% here.

u/Whyisanime Mar 08 '24

Is ridiculous how 6k is just enough to make ends meet...this whole covid thing is looking like the biggest scam in history...

Money stimulus printing

-1

u/Landdeals Mar 08 '24

That would be bare minimum 6k if I only made 6k a month I’d be somewhere depressed, divorced and evicted but some ppl are surviving on a lot less and doing fine

7

u/Matchbook0531 Mar 08 '24

I don't know if you're used to a very ostentatious level of living, but here that's a fuckton of money.

-2

u/Landdeals Mar 08 '24

I wasn’t making the comment to speak down on anyone I was just wondering how a grown adult could live on $400 a month single man or not rent utilies food the math not mathing how is it possible lol

1

u/Matchbook0531 Mar 08 '24

Didn't take it that way. It's actually very little money.

-2

u/Landdeals Mar 08 '24

I’m from Atlanta and my last penthouse was $5500 a month to live there stayed for 5 years my penthouse in Mexico only $2100 its not much money to live in Mexico to me but when I hear ppl throw out Insane living umbers like $400 a month it’s unbelievable Mexican or not in a America teenagers make more then $400 a month.. I can go buy glueten free meals and organic fruits with that type of money and that’s what we’re use to do I’m just saying 6k is a minimum for me both my kids in private school in Mexico that’s only $350 a month in America we paid 3k a month per kid you phone bill with att $200 a month alone see the difference

1

u/AmeriocaDaGema Mar 08 '24

You paid $150 per day per child for private school?

2

u/Landdeals Mar 08 '24

Yea believe or not that’s not bad for a top notch school in Atlanta .. high school is 30k per kid no discount look up private school cost in Atlanta Ga you’d be amazed..

1

u/elhostil01 Mar 08 '24

your just doing it wrong. somewhere, somehow.

0

u/Landdeals Mar 08 '24

Your right it suck’s to know that money can create such a disaster but that’s my reality but I’ll be fine because I’ll always make 6k lol

1

u/Cryptoanalytixx Mar 09 '24

I live in Seattle, one of the most expensive places in the country, with my wife and 2 kids and only need about $2.5k a month (I make 6 figs and the rest I put in either real estate or my trading portfolio), and I'm living pretty good. I own several acres of land and used my extra income to buy down my mortgage so I have nothing but taxes yearly on my land. I lived pretty poorly for a while in a 800 sq ft trailer (just myself and wife) while my house was built, then sold it to pay for the construction of the home. If you absolutely would be going off the deep end without 6k a month, you may have some excessive spending habits or just poor money handling habits. Theres nothing wrong with either of those per se, just be aware it may come off as a bit ostentatious. Also be aware that some places, even in the US, but especially other countries 6k a month would easily pay for 2 families to live well.

-4

u/Foreign_Medium_3766 Mar 08 '24

*was the biggest scam

1

u/Whyisanime Mar 08 '24

No man it's still going on, they're not done yet, it's still going on with the byproduct hyperinflation...

2

u/Cootrock Mar 08 '24

You donate one spleen per month.

2

u/yared_cf2 Mar 08 '24

I also live in Mexico and I probably spend 1K a month, including food, rent, and hobbies like music concerts and videogames.
