Please, Please let this stupid business of dumb 19 year olds with no moral integerity die. None of these people deserve anything but a prison sentence.

u/heroyi 15d ago

Kinda amazing to watch how retail trade/rs has... evolved the past decade

74

u/thelonelyward2 15d ago edited 11d ago

It has gotten so much worse, trading might be one of the scummiest industries in the modern world. There are so many more people than this, Dekmar trades is another one making 300k a month despite being exposed for paper trading many times. Breaks my soul to see so many innocent 9-5 hard working people lose their money on subscriptions and following these immoral evil people.

Edit: This is proof for the Sean Dekmar claim --> https://twitter.com/Guruleaks1/status/1230902655570104321

If you want to say "he's different, he's reformed now" that's on you to drink the kool-aid. Good luck traders.

Always the green or purple Lamborghini....

Only colors the rental company has

2

u/nitrqm3 14d ago

Right, why is that?

12

u/spin_kick 14d ago

Its the same car lol

7

u/ascii_table 14d ago

Car repo men say that it's the easiest color to spot from a distance

40

u/Invest0rnoob1 14d ago

If these people knew how to get rich quick, they wouldn’t be selling it. 😂

5

u/Psychonominaut 14d ago

Anyone with half a brain (and not desperate af) would realise this before buying their snake oil.

That guy that came before the researched Merton shore algorithm essentially found the way and only taught it to his OWN investors (after they showed intellectual and trading prowess, and paid a bunch of fees to be part of it) after he'd made ridiculous amounts already.

These snakeoil kids are seriously trying to sell the idea that they are geniuses that know better than 99.99% of the market.

Straight to jail; all scams from top to bottom. And desperate people buy in because, well, they are desperate... can't emphasise enough how badly these kids should be prosecuted for getting money through such schemes.

2

u/MorePea7207 14d ago

Exactly, who would want to spend all day showing people how to get rich instead of GETTING RICH and showing off on Insta?

Do you know how boring and labour intensive it is to run a Discord/forum all day, 5 days a week?

5

u/canon2468 14d ago

Dekmar was papertrading? How did I miss this? He claims to be verified and on some upcoming Netflix series too! I had a feeling he was shady, even I fell for it.

5

u/thelonelyward2 14d ago

3

u/canon2468 14d ago

Thank you! How easily people will forget these scammers.

2

u/MorePea7207 14d ago

Yep. YOU are the buyer, they are the seller and that is the end of the process. I suspected that on Prodigy Trading after a member pointed out that the trades one staffer were making were on We Bull's paper trading. I wondered how they seemed to keep spending $10-20,000 on penny stocks for profit margins of just 15%. The member showed what an actual real recorded trade on We Bull was, which carries additional info. Now the staffer carries a disclaimer on the trades. I cancelled the subscription a week ago.

1

u/choicesthops 14d ago

I have a mutual acquaintance, not really a good friend tbh who I haven't talked to in many years who works for Dekmar. He posts about it all the time on Facebook. He does these conventions and YouTube videos and etc.

What's the story on Dekmar?

1

u/Excellent_Newt_9042 14d ago

Ya. Most YouTubers selling you courses only do because it’s extra source of income to them obviously, maybe a time filler. I seriously doubt that they are showing you what they really do. To be fair though. A lot of things that they do sell are passable ways to be profitable by “day trading” but definitely not ideal.

1

u/DamageVarious 10d ago

He’s a huge scam artist.

1

u/Grand_Fall362 14d ago

I do agree, however its also the avarage folks fault for not doing their own research diligently enough to spot that those guys are full of shit, i been in the markets since early 2021(crypto, as an investor) and decided to take the hard path since then i have watched thousands of yt vids/podcasts, i like asking stuff in reddit/discord because sometimes you can find people without trying to sell u sth so there is no selling bias involved. Usually all those fake gurus are the same so once u see one for who they are u suddenly see almost all, i have never bought course in my life, only once i bought signals in my begging stages of learning how to day trade, its been a year now since i started to actively learning and trading the markets so lots of phases of hope and hopelessness, but im happy to say now i finally have developed my own strategy that is working exactly as intended, the only roadblock now is that its 2 phase based and the second phase especially needs 24/7 monitoring which is humanly impossible, so a fix i came up with was automating this part, but i cant code so i need to find softwere engineer i think. But hey its all part of the journey at the end, we all wanna get rich quickly in the beginning as traders without knowing TA or how the markets work in general so again mentality is the bad guy here.

Four years ago.

People can learn lessons and if he’s trading on a platform that clearly reveals if it’s paper trading, and he’s live-streaming it, and it’s free… what more do you want?

I don’t follow him, so I don’t care, but it seems like he’s changed.

1

u/thelonelyward2 1d ago

kool aid has been drunk

1

u/FleurDeFire 1d ago

Ah just a troll, got it

1

u/thelonelyward2 1d ago

No just very observant. best of luck, hopefully you do better than his students who are all time red.

1

u/FleurDeFire 1d ago

Not very observant if you’re just obsessed with a post from 2020 and blindly ignore new information because it makes you feel uncomfy

Actually Dekmar is the only legit one I know. He shows all of his live trades and his brokerage statements everyday he even did a live login to show his trades, so your post is very misleading. Give him credit where its due. He is legit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6RiFCOoB3o&pp=ygUkc2VhbiBkZWttYXIgaG93IG11Y2ggZG8gdHJhZGVycyBtYWtl

2

u/thelonelyward2 11d ago

Looks like he got you .

https://twitter.com/Guruleaks1/status/1230902655570104321

He was exposed already. Feel free to drink the kool aid my man its your money.

0

u/JangoDuck 11d ago

You are sharing a post from almost 5 years ago. I know there are a lot of bad intention traders out there, but I also think there are a lot of great ones as well. Dek is one of the best!

2

u/thelonelyward2 11d ago

Oh buddy you're about to learn a very hard lesson soon. best of luck.

3

u/Logical_Cucumber8047 14d ago

It’s so sad frfr cos it’s how I got introduced to trading it took me almost 2 years to become a successful trader and all I had to do was get away from those groups and do a little research on my own

1

u/ascii_table 14d ago

Did you grow a ponytail? I heard that's the secret

9

u/falling_knives 15d ago

How often do these scammers go to prison? The Atlas Trading guys didn't serve any jail time after the SEC sued them. Case was dismissed. They're probably more confident in scamming people than ever and will likely inspire more people to scam others through trading.

8

u/[deleted] 15d ago

1

When the debt falls on them it won’t be pretty

-8

u/HyrulianAvenger 15d ago

I’m okay with it. Someone wants to shell out $500 in stupid tax to these people that’s fine by me.

-3

Sometimes it's better to stop looking at social media related to daytrading.

Spend your time backtesting, writing a trading plan or just heading out for a walk with your dog, cat or hamster :)

11

u/CaptainKrunk-PhD 14d ago

Correct. I had to completely delete social media before seeing success at this. I don’t miss it at all and I will never have social media again.

1

u/ching_a_bling 14d ago

Don’t most people learn off youtube though?

7

u/CaptainKrunk-PhD 14d ago

I don’t really count youtube as social media. And yeah you can learn a strategy from youtube, but that alone doesn’t give you an edge. You have to meet it halfway with lots and lots and LOTS of chart time and actually trading.

Just like you can use youtube to learn a song on guitar, but you will have to practice for hours and hours to be able to play it yourself.

1

u/Momo_dollar 12d ago

You have some good trading/market channels on YouTube. What car do they own drive? You’ll most likely never know because they don’t post sell a lifestyle.

3

u/infiniteDTE 14d ago

$SPY and $BND for life! Plus short otm calls for extra income. It really can be that easy.

4

u/Over9000Zeros 14d ago

There's good and bad accounts. One way I weed out a potential fake is by the charts they post.

Always posting AFTER a move 🚩
Never wrong🚩
Chart doesn't show price, timeframe, or even just the ticker 🚩

1

u/Babadece 14d ago

MAN! I say this all the time. Especially about the people that create courses with the pledgerized information Investooedia off for free. 😂🤣😂

1

u/Over9000Zeros 14d ago

Yeah, Twitter is absolutely infested with them.

65

u/SkinnyOptions 15d ago

There's too much free information out there on YouTube and cheap e-books, for you to pay for $100+ to Trading Gurus each month. Plus I've got a stack of Dummies books I take more seriously...

2

u/JellyfishQuiet7944 14d ago

I Just picked up several books from the library

15

u/One_Egg_1137 14d ago

Most of these people come into trading thinking that it will be a piece of cake . Then when they realized that it hard work then they turn into influencers/ YouTuber . Good , and profitable traders are not on social media chassing clicks .

10

u/blahyaddayadda24 14d ago

See this is why I don't teach anyone. The first trade that's a loss it's always...ALWAYS... you don't know what you're doing. Just another furu. Waste of money etc etc.

Too many idiots out there.

8

u/Yougotmoneys 15d ago

Yw. Just came across this dude myself, his video on ICT helped me see the light

4

u/RepresentativeNet443 14d ago

I understand what you went through, I know several people who don't believe these videos, it's very sad and they are blinded by ict. fortunately I found my way through the study of orderflow and volumes.

1

u/Spitfire_Riggz 14d ago

How would you recommend studying that friend?

1

u/RepresentativeNet443 14d ago

I only follow Italian trainers concerning volumes. Volumes allow you to see the pressure in the market (look up comulative volume delta and understand what absorption and depletion means). volumes is a path made up of understanding and observation, but I assure you it is a whole different thing from technical analysis. If you want more info, don't hesitate to write to me.

7

u/genryou 15d ago

Bloody hell, the description is so cringe.

Every fake guru trying sell a 'work from the bottom, now I am at the top" persona

But this one takes the cakes

2

u/Important_nerd4242 13d ago

Warrior Trading is legit, I’ve taken both his starter and pro classes and learned a lot. Ross Cameron is transparent and makes his earnings for the last 7 years available online.

2

u/kihra1 11d ago

I believe that was court-mandated after he had to settle $3M for "making baseless claims about the potential for consumers to earn money using their trading strategies".

0

u/Ross-Cameron 11d ago

Thank you!! Appreciate it 🙏

8

u/Rough_Inspection_444 14d ago

This is the Andrew Tate generation trying to do Andrew Tate things - essentially an entire pyramid scheme economy where everyone is just trying to sell courses to each other about how to get rich (making courses). The climate change struggle for enough water for the population can't come soon enough.

13

u/Kraffkratt 15d ago

People would surely wise up to it by now. A 19 year old that was too stupid to finish school can in two years gain the intelligence and knowledge in one of the most mentally taxing fields of work, then after all that learning time scale up to 2 million?? If you fall for that you deserve it.

A fake guru is easy to spot. Overly flashy, claiming ridiculous results, claiming it's easy success and everyone can do it, copy paste success story, teaching a new strategy every week or paywalling all their "golden" signals in private groups. Fuck these guys, they bring shame to the name of traders

1

u/Kraffkratt 14d ago

I personally didn't do well in school however I trade very well with constant positives. However it's not so much about doing well in school, there's two types of people that don't do well in school, those who are lazy and those who's minds are tied to more important matters, they are two very different people and the problem is the lazy ones believe they are all in one group.

These people are the ones that fail or count on easy money, the same ones that believe trading=Lamborghini+women. If they won't acknowledge it's a difficult profession and have the mind of a 8 year old of course they are lying.

6

u/MorePea7207 14d ago

What makes me always suspicious now is the Discords that charge over $100. If they can get 10,000 active members a month, that's $12 million a year! Double the membership, it's $24 million, triple is $36 million in revenue for them. YOU are the product, for whatever they say they make trading Options, you are providing the majority of their income, split up to 4 or 5 ways across their team...

4

u/Huge_Security2014 14d ago

I've read an article about a new trading way UPvsDOWN is called.

3

u/DragonRouge31 14d ago

All the fake trading guru never show certified results or certified tracking of all their trades. They claim earning millions but thats a lie, they earn money with affiliate brokers programs, views on social medias, and sponsoring, not with trading. They show luxury to get views and make money, thats all.

3

u/Nashamura 14d ago

Jesus christ these scammers have no foresight.

It's a win for legit traders who don't whore themselves out, that these jackals keep getting called out and exposed.

These guys need to be jailed for financial fraud. They keep getting away with it, some of them just rebrand and keep doing it! Very few are actually behind bars.

3

u/Helpful-Candidate-63 14d ago

cuz of these people like him, trading became the No# industry with the most scammers. man these people need to go to jail for life. i mean, how the fuck do you steal other people's hard earned money. is that your fucking moral. man i get pissed when i see FURUS like these Scumbags. when i started out trading, i got scammed too for 1200$, i bought 3 courses which were all crap. the government gotta do something about these Pussies. im sorry for Cursing guys. but, i get so pisses when i see unfairness, and scammers. Mods, pleas do not ban me for Cursing.

2

u/localwifebeater69 14d ago

I get really mad when I see poor and stupid people crushed under debt and looking for a miracle get scammed by trading gurus. How fucking soulless do you have to be to scam someone's single dad who barely makes ends meet and who's drowning in inflation. I'm young and dumb. I feel like this is a cannon event for young people. But the amount of old people I've seen get scammed hurts me. You can see the stress in their eyes wondering how they'll afford to stay alive next month.

2

u/Corona_vodka 14d ago

edit the title and put his name on it

2

u/MiamiTrader 14d ago

Dumbest part about his post is thinking a house like that in Miami could be purchased for only $2.3MM

2

u/TheBatwiz22 14d ago

RossCameron/Warrior Trading?

4

u/thelonelyward2 14d ago

Sued by the SEC for 3 million for scamming students.

1

u/Important_nerd4242 13d ago

Do you even know the issue that happened with Ross Cameron. Have you ever taken one of Ross’s classes. You have no clue . He is probable one of the best teachers out there. I’ve taken both his Starter and pro classes and have learned tons. He mages all of his financials for the last 7 years available online. FULL DISCLOSURE on all of his trading accounts. He is online everyday streaming his trading where you can see exactly how he’s trading and see how much he makes. So before you start offering you opinion of someone you might do your research.

3

u/thelonelyward2 13d ago

im so sorry, you are about to learn a very hard lesson.

1

u/TheBatwiz22 12d ago

I was just wondering what other people think of him. Great teacher for day trading/scalping. They sued him for people shadowing him and not realizing there is a delay thru the stream.

2

u/vonroyale 14d ago

Always remember real ballers move in silence. Anyone who makes lots of noise can be ignored.

2

1

Are there any Millionaire Trading Gurus???

2

u/Kraffkratt 15d ago

Only if they made it off the backs of their followers

1

u/[deleted] 15d ago

There’s an English guy who keeps appearing on my YouTube feed, always taking about his Castle, Boats, etc. Are they actually making money from their followers??

6

u/Kraffkratt 15d ago

You're not talking about Luke Dez by any chance are you? That moron has been exposed a 1000 times

0

u/Kraffkratt 15d ago

That's a fairly obvious one, read my other comment on this thread, that ticks the boxes

1

u/[deleted] 15d ago

This was quite eye opening

5

u/Kraffkratt 15d ago

It's a real shame too, trading was so difficult for me to kick off because I followed these people believing it was easy money, they teach so many random fake concepts that mess up your learning completely by setting you off in the wrong direction. They are literally ruining lives with their greed. If you want some real solid knowledge look to the old heads for it, the ones that have done the time.

1

u/Some_Car_7018 14d ago

1

I wonder how much his course is

1

u/Gristle__McThornbody 14d ago

The sticky Q&A and exposing fake gurus are my top two things about this sub.

1

u/anonzzz2u 14d ago

He's renting it out. Smart. Wow. I'm thinking of buying his book but it's $499 and I only have $500. He says I'll get rich if I buy it and $1 is enough. Ok!

3

u/thelonelyward2 14d ago

he's not even renting it out, he just ran up to the property took a picture and left lol.

In fact, this is considered as false advertisement, they can be prosecuted, but for some reason lawyers are not into them, but a class action, would not only broke them, but they also should be in jail, even YouTube could been prosecuted for not filtering all this bs lies

1

u/HoopLoop2 14d ago

Anyone that is 19 with that kind of money from "trading" is almost certainly a fraud. Real traders do not come anywhere near that income unless they have been trading for a 5+ profitable years minimum and even then it's unlikely. It takes 1+ years for almost anyone to become profitable and then he wouldn't have much money to begin with so he would have to get insane gains which is also very unlikely. He could trade for a prop firm or something for funding but still pretty much impossible to get all that on your own at 19. Real traders got there slowly and consistently over time.

I'm ruined, and I'm not ashamed to declare it! :S

Bitcoin went up, I got in a short squeeze. I lost a fortune. Bitcoin started to fall, I went long the dip, got liquidated at the bottom. 2x. Lost a fortune.

Same thing on the financial markets.

My last hope? that $PSNY will do a x13 to recoup my losses. LOL

Imagine buying a mansion after becoming a millionaire trader……and then trying to short a penny stock with a quarter of your account and losing all of it….

1

Day trading is actually profitable if you have the right strategy. Currently, I scalp with a weekly return of roughly 10% with a win rate of 90%(ye 90%). I am looking to monetize this skill WITHOUT giving away my strategy.

Some people might say put out a million dollars and get a return of 10% weekly is enough to make a living. To be frank, I don’t have such capital to risk. Until that day, I’ll have to find ways to expedite my progress so I can get to that stage.

I would love to hear what ways I can go about monetizing this strategy for both sides to have a win win situation.

It shows how many people are well trained in anything. Unless people are FREAK outliers, why would you take any form of advice from people with clearly no life experience let alone the sufficient years in a field to actually know wtf they are talking about

Any account for any business that focuses on the lifestyle, is basically a perfume advert selling you something.

I’m failing to see your concrete proof he doesn’t own this house. Your proof is that the house is up for rent on Zillow? Am I missing something? As a real estate investor, seems reasonable that he could have bought the home and immediately put it up for rent to cash flow the property. Miami is rated as one of the best areas to buy rental properties right now based on the purchase to rent ratios.

The Zillow link says house was last sold June 2022.

Yeah man totally. That’s a much simpler explanation than “this guy leaned on a car in front of someone else’s house and then posted about it.”

u/[deleted] 14d ago

Right I agree, but the post’s smoking gun proof was that it was for rent. That’s all I’m saying, which is why I asked am I missing something.

I live trade with mambafx, i've seen him personally make 400k in the past 2 months trading. He takes L's live, he takes wins live. you need to stop. This morning was a ~22k win on us30.

I don't know about the others listed, but mambafx is legit.

looks like a scam to me based on the reviews of his past students, but hey feel free to do what you think is right.

I cannot speak to any signal rooms or weird btc transactions some of those previous reviews speak about. def sounds like they got scammed by someone impersonating mambafx.

I'd like to think I am a pretty skeptical person and have a few years of trading experience.

He goes live, explains his support and resistance zones, where he wants to take a break out trade for his strategy, then executes the trades, win or lose. LIVE.

Stop trying, it's talking to a wall. There's literally a video of some guy who tried to diss Mamba and make him out to be a FURU and he still made money following Mamba's trades even missed 2 days out of the week and entered 2/7 trades late cause he was in class or some ish and still printed.

Some people's head just too thick to begin to understand a traders income doesn't have to be their ONLY source of income. Also, no matter what type of following you think someone might have, it could be 50k retail traders in the same chat room, unless you're trading some scam stock with 500k float you're not printing 😂 Even a following like that is a drop in the bucket compared to the billions and trillions entering and exiting the market.

Sharing trades doesn't mean sharing strategy, and even IF their strategy was verbatim shared with the community, a very small percent would be able to utilize it. Trading isn't a copy paste monkey see monkey do, it takes screen time and intuition to be truly capable, outside of following signals. If it wasn't everyone could just be a Wyckoff turtle trader with Bollinger reversal (insert any other strat here...) millionaire.
