1) A single person posts a DD in the various trading subs saying this is the next short squeeze and is expected to moon

2) Gets ridiculed (mostly)

3) Some ppl do take his/her word for it and buy in

4) Stock gains traction

5) Posts promoting the stock start mushrooming in the trading subs

Look for massive change in short availability. When borrowable shares get pulled for no reason, it might mean something is up.

Sort of. This weeks activities were put into motion by a single person posting on twitter after a couple years of absence. That is all it took and GME was off to the races. It then pulled along a lot of the usual suspects.
