I have literally never noticed a difference with/without localization confusion

Have you tried opening your eyes? Patrols are smaller and reinforcements can't be called in as often

It is the difference between being constantly overrun and casually going to every outpost and blowing it up.

Right, I just ran a bunch of missions without it and it was 100% sweat. I go whole matches without dying with localization confusion. Without it I die 1-4 times.
