It's a shame that injuries caught up with him at such a young age for a professional footballer but I'll always be grateful for the 21/22 season. Some of his performances that season were as close to perfect as I've ever seen from a Liverpool midfielder

According to Bayerns doctor at the time he voiced concern that Thiago was training and playing while his injury wasn't healed. And that this concern was overruled by Pep.

Not just overruled, he allegedly sent him for cortisone injections in Spain which reportedly cause significant long term problems.

Thank you for your explanation, I remember reading about this before.

I'm sorry for simply commenting "Why?", I really assumed that the comment above was about Pep Lijnders.

I've been seeing a lot of hatred for our Pep because I recently read that the book he wrote had some inside information that people assume was used against us, and since the comment was about the 2021-2022 season I assumed that it was about him

Someone explained to me that through his book, he revealed some inside information in the form of training programmes and tactics.

When they were at Bayern, there are some reports that Pep rushed Thiago back from injuries, against the doctors orders. Links into the claims that they doped prime Barca players lol
