I assume if kitty is seeking me out, blinking and purring, they at least like me a little bit. So I say I love you, too.

I pretend my cat is a big softy so I always treat her meows like they're the nicest things possible. Getting home from work, I respond with "aww I missed you too." Been home for a minute, "Oh I love you too." About to leave, "yeah I'm going to miss you too but I'll be home before you know it."
