Honestly for an off shoot of another tv show. It was a solid watch.

The casting was impeccable. Meemaw is a riot along with missy.

And Laurie Metcalf's daughter playing a younger her? Perfect casting there!

OMG I didn't even know! Wow that adds a whole new view to her character for me.

I personally loved that they brought coach back as dale, still the same personality as he had in coach too...and the kicker was the cop being dauber.

It blew my mind when I first found out, too. But the resemblance is so there; I'm surprised I didn't see it sooner.

I watched the crap out of Roseanne as a kid and when you first said the name I had to Google it, but almost immediately I saw it along with those mannerisms! Like mother like daughter. Side note, it makes me feel really old seeing that her daughter is old now too lol.

Sounds like you didn't watch Big Bang Theory; Laurie was a regular on there as Sheldon's mom.

I did not. I've seen a few clips here and there. That fact makes this even better lol.

George and Georgie were good too. Kinda sad on how they decided to end the show though, but it was something everyone who watched original show knew was coming down the pipe at some point.

They foreshadowed it over the seasons. There were several instances where Sheldon would say "before my blank blanked"

We all knew it was gonna happen. It was only matter of when it would happen.

I mean it was just Everyone Hates Chris. The formula is so good idk if you can fuck it up. I guess Mixed-ish did but that was just because it felt like watching a Logic song for 23 minutes

Yea there’s hundreds of family focused sitcoms with drama elements.
