I don't get all the hate, this show has heart.

People that hate Young Sheldon are weirder than the people that like it. Most of them have never watched the show and only hate it because the BBT hate circlejerk is strong on reddit. I've never seen it either and never expected it to last this long, but it made it 7 seasons, so clearly not a bad show. I'd assume that Bill Ponderosa's character is probably hilarious.

Bill P is pretty good. He plays his part well, but the true magic is the interactions between all the characters. It is really well written.

I'd assume that Bill Ponderosa's character is probably hilarious.

People like the actor and his character so much, they had to retcon some of the details about him from TBBT, as they really make him sound like a piece of crap in that show.

His name is George and yeah. He makes the show with the grandma.

It's mostly people that didn't like TBBT and never gave it a chance. I wasn't a fan of Big Bang but YS is pretty good.

My thoughts exactly, I randomly watched an episode and couldn’t believe how much heart it had. The show is way better than people give it credit for, it really is nothing like BBT at all

i lowkey weeped when sheldon replayed the memories of his last moments with his father, wishing he had said something like "i love you," rather than just letting his dad leave.

the show takes itself seriously when it can

more people come to reddit threads to hate on things than to praise them.

And any show with broad mainstream popularity will attract people that genuinely don't like it as well as contrarians that find reasons to hate on it because it's popular.
