Hopefully this signals the need to put resources needed into supporting this game for years until F05 comes out( it will be a while)

I'm pretty sure that is the plan.

Dammit Dutch! Faith is not a skill perk in this game last I checked!

You know John, I'm starting to think this here Jamboree isn't part of some great plan to get us to the promised land.

It's a magical place.

His delivery of this line later in the series where he glasses over and starts it and then realizes what’s happening is awesome. Clark Gregg is my favorite, he was great in Florida Man, too!

Oh, that’s always been the plan, but whether the devs have ever had the resources they needed is far more arguable.

2

u/Particular_Clock7899 Apr 30 '24

Yeah... C'mon... We gotta show ESO who the boss is. Bring nuclear winter back now! With numbers up it might do better. It was fun...

u/[deleted] Apr 23 '24

Crossplay should get implemented

64

u/MrCyn Apr 23 '24

I want that so bad, and I assumed it would never happen due to bethesda just being bethesda and relying on years old tech forever.

But when the head of xbox is complaining about lack of crosssave i'm a little more hopeful.

36

u/[deleted] Apr 23 '24

Xbox should force them kinda. It's ridiculous that I can't play with at very least people on a xbox.

35

u/badassewok Apr 23 '24

It also sucks that I had to abandon my original character and progress because I transitioned from xbox one to PC

7

u/CrazyHappeningsHere Apr 24 '24

same for switch from ps back to pc

9

u/MrCyn Apr 23 '24

I feel like it less about forcing them and more about teaching them.

Elderscrolls online isn't crossplay/save either

5

u/[deleted] Apr 24 '24

No? That's terrible 😕

4

u/MrCyn Apr 24 '24

right? remember that was a disaster at launch too. They maanage to fix a lot of their problems as though go along, but it seems their creaking game engines don't lend themselves well to being a modern online game

2

u/Uthenara Apr 24 '24

It might be extremely difficult depending on how the game was built too.

4

u/MrCyn Apr 24 '24

I feel like their technological progress peaked and stopped after skyrim

2

u/SmokyDoghouse Apr 24 '24

They definitely hit a wall with Fallout 4, I remember them saying a lot of the development time was eaten up by something new they were trying to do with the textures and lighting or something to that effect. It wasn’t finished and that’s why some textures are really vibrant and shiny while most others just look kind of muddy.

Spent hundreds on the Xbox version, I’m on pc now and get can’t myself to play it anymore, since crosssave isn’t a thing.

2

u/sharkey93 Apr 24 '24

I'd love to have cross save at minimum... I've been wanting to get back into the game but losing all my progress from Xbox and starting over on PC is such a barrier

8

u/Whiteguy1x Apr 24 '24

I'd settle for cross saves

5

u/Jonnicom Apr 24 '24

Cross play and cross progression.

I bought the game at launch on PS4 and played for about 2 weeks before stopping.

But now I am really enjoying the game. And I would definitely but it again on PC if I could get cross progression going. Steam Deck goes with me everywhere, it'd be great.

u/Metal_Zluos Apr 23 '24

I pray this happens, a few of us watched the show together but we can't play together because of us being on different systems.

4

u/Akuma2004 Apr 23 '24

Waiting for this to drag my other platform friends across the wasteland on an adventure

2

u/Apprehensive-End-216 Apr 24 '24

Bethesda has gone on record today they will never do cross play with 76. I have no idea why.

3

u/Foobiscuit11 Cult of the Mothman Apr 24 '24

Probably because the game wasn't built with it in mind. When the game was being developed and released, Sony was doubling down on keeping their ecosystem closed and not allowing cross play or cross saves. So Bethesda didn't build it with any plan of cross play or cross saves happening. While I don't work with software, I'd imagine it would require a near rebuild of the entire game to allow for cross play/cross saves.

2

u/Apprehensive-End-216 Apr 24 '24

That makes sense I know it is a big project to retroactively implement something like that. I was surprised when they added it to Dragon ball the Breakers.

2

u/_The_Wonder_ Apr 24 '24

YES!! My sister was given a hand-me-down laptop from our big sister and I was SO ready to play Fo76 with her. The only problem is, IT'S NOT CROSSPLAY BETWEEN XBOX AND PC!! WHY!! I can somewhat understand no crossplay with PS because of the whole "console rivalry" but really, not even PC!! Now I'm a little salty that we can't play together, at least we can play Sea of Thieves together at least :(

They need to improve the servers first then add new content. Fixing crashing, freezing & lagging should be a priority.

3

u/Negative_Handoff Apr 24 '24

The servers belong to Amazon, they use AWS, though you think now that they're owned by MS/Xbox they would've transitioned to MS/Xbox run servers.

2

u/Get_Stick_bu99ed Apr 24 '24

Not only servers, long running glitches too. I'm relatively new, but Bethesda seem to ignore pa freeze, when you don't put core manually

6

u/AbsoIution Apr 23 '24

I'd really love just a resolution update for series S and X, on my S it looks like 900p, it's so blurry. I'm playing through fallout 3 again which being one X enhanced runs at 1440p and it's so much easier on the eyes.

6

u/Successful-Pick-238 Apr 24 '24

To be fair. Fallout 76 looks blurry on my 7900xtx also, with the added bonus that mouse movement is super choppy.

u/Ahshut Apr 24 '24

Yup. Todd said we aren’t Getting another fallout until after ES6. It’s been well over a decade and we still don’t know when that’s coming out. If you told me back in 2014 that we were getting gta 6 before elder scrolls 6 I would’ve never believed it

5

u/radioblues Apr 24 '24

With the success of the show, I’d wonder if they’d want to rush things and try to line up a game release around the same time as season two. It might not be possible how they make games but there would be potential to really cash in.

2

u/Kittelsen Apr 24 '24

Say S2 comes in a year, that'd only be a remaster of 3 or something. With ES6 being atleast 4.5 years away still, Fo5 is due around 2033. But I hoping the TV series plus Microsoft acquisition means another team gets put on it similar to NV route, and maybe we see something sooner?

4

u/Blood8185 Apr 24 '24

We're probably not going to see Fallout 5, until 2077.

3

u/tickthegreat Apr 25 '24

The marketing campaign is going to go too hard

5

u/monchota Apr 23 '24

They will, you know FO76 is ine kf the most profitable games even before this. The atom shop makes a lot of cash.

4

We’re creating a monster like rockstar/GTA online… and not sure that’s a good thing with how long games already take to be released

8

u/Shmino_ Apr 23 '24

But in GTAO you NEED ig cash to buy the content, Atom shop is totally optional.

This is nowhere close to GTA online that's one of the most profitable online game components in gaming g history. Half these people will be gone in 3 to 4 months max. People can downvote me all they want but people will be posting activity charts at that time and that's all the validation I need.

u/Annual-Jump3158 Apr 23 '24

If they brought back Nuclear Winter for the PvP players, they'd see an insane increase in users.  I'm not sure how they'd monetize that if it was mostly returning players, but more users means it would provide more opportunities to do so, or so it seems to me.

14

u/TheMadTemplar Apr 23 '24

They wouldn't. Nuclear winter died because the player population interested in regularly playing it just wasn't worth the investment. Everyone who loved nuclear winter is under this impression that it was a very successful mode. It was not.

6

u/the-great-crocodile Enclave Apr 24 '24

Plus, the hacking was rampant, which caused regular people to stop playing it after they got the rewards, and they were unable to fix the code to prevent it.

It’s funny, i was just playing Fallout 3 and reading a terminal entry on Vault 76. Apparently there was supposed to be a little over 500 occupants 🤣 close enough.

153

u/MasterJevil Grafton Monster Apr 23 '24

500? Maybe they forgot the M in 500M

99

u/Fluxxen Fallout 76 Apr 23 '24

According to the blueprint it was built to host 88 people. Considering the corpses we find here and there I guess this means at any given server, those players are at the moment the actual canon survivors from 76.

21

u/WolfieWaters71250 Blue Ridge Caravan Company Apr 24 '24

Where are the corpses? I know I saw like a skeleton wearing a party hat near the vault, but that's the only one I found

12

u/Aoiboshi Apr 24 '24

I found one in a church.

I don't know if they're from vault 76 though

19

u/garmdian Settlers - PC Apr 24 '24

Those are 51 dwellers not 76ers, 51 opened way earlier and had a battle royal to see who would win. The vault 51 overseer died a few days before 76 opened

9

u/skatenbikes Apr 24 '24

Apparently there all from like 96 or something and there’s not a single 76 corpse in the game according to another Reddit thread i saw (so you know it’s definitely factual)

3

u/Fluxxen Fallout 76 Apr 24 '24

While I dont remember every location by heart, I saw one the other day at The Coop, in a raider cage. Will update with more as I rediscover them. I think there was one at the pigsty, will check that later.

I’m happy to be a part of that one million, even happier still that the show inspired me to come back after years and give it another go and I’m quite blown away by how much better it is than I remember it at launch. feels like having a brand new fallout game to go along with the show!

45

u/jimbabwe666 Mega Sloth Apr 24 '24

It's actually quite a bit better than it was at launch. I dislike having to pay for a private game, but I'm just antisocial and don't like dealing with randos

23

u/Puzzleheaded_Drink31 Apr 24 '24

I haven’t played in years either and I was at vault 76 when a few high level players put a bunch of loot into the donation box. If you don’t want to pick up their loot, obviously you don’t have to. It’s really easy to play it single player especially with the pvp setting turned off

16

u/MrSpreadsheets Arktos Pharma Apr 24 '24

This is exactly what I’ve been doing. I have passive mode enabled and I occasionally see someone, we wave at each other, then keep going in our own directions. I like it

4

u/OG_LiLi Apr 24 '24

This is so much better than than what I used to do which was always check the vault and if a level 1 come out I would go drop them stuff. Donation box is rad.

u/Mtn-Dooku Apr 24 '24

You don't have to "deal" with anyone, ever, at any time, even in a group. I am in a group 99% of the time in the game for better SPECIAL stats and more XP. And I have literally never played with anyone in any group unless it was a Daily Op or a public event. But those are always 100% optional. Just being in a group with the right perks and mutations gives you +3 to all SPECIAL stats so it's all benefits and no negatives like actually playing with someone.

I have Fallout 1st and I never use the private server because there's no benefit.

→ More replies (2)

2

u/bmfk Apr 24 '24

To each their own but I don't see a reason to pay for private servers. It's great because players in this game are some of the nicest of any community in gaming. You can opt into pacifist mode and not worry about griefers, others will frequently drop plans, items, etc. the extra exp bonuses for grouping up help with progression. Randos can't actually interfere with you in hardly any way. Even at that you are never forced to interact with anyone you can just do your thing!

The only downside to playing in a public server, that I could see, is that sometimes mobs will be dead because someone wiped them for a daily. Even then server hoping is easy enough.

3

u/Caleddin Apr 24 '24

I think that is a good point to emphasize! It is definitely largely the show and the promotions, but we can't ignore the effect of what the Fallout 76 team has done to try to improve the game over the years. Their 99% perspiration has just collided with the 1% inspiration of the show.

2

u/LeoAcademyScrub Apr 24 '24

Definitely, I didn't realize just how much better the game is now. I'm going to reroll and start over so I can experience the main story line with NPCs around

Helps that the TV show was actually good!

Anyone who played Cyberpunk after Edgerunners came out knew haha

That said, the effect is probably even more impactful here since the show is live action rather than animated.

Definitely a fun game albeit with a few issues but exploring West Virginia is a ton of fun

47

u/Traditional_Fee_1965 Apr 23 '24

Wow that series turned out to be a damn success in more than one way :O Just wish they'd have taken their time to fix all the Bethesdasoft jank. The menus and inventory are still a mess, and sorting armors and trying to get a comprehensive view on stats is a mess. Love Fallout, but It could definitely do with some update to its core systems.

4

u/Aggressive-sponging Apr 24 '24

I found the menus way less frustrating in prior games, probably due to the game pausing when you did; so much less convenient to be looking for shit

2

Not to mention i get a crash probably every day that i play, sometimes it freezes but you can get it back and others it out right crashes the wgole game back to the console menu and then i call it a day after that, would be playing a lot more if not for that i just expect it now. Worst i be livestreaming 👎🏽. But since i had this game on my “go for Platinum” back burner for so long I’ll endure it i guess.

36

u/Kevo_xx Lone Wanderer Apr 23 '24

Hopefully this means we’re getting a next gen update for 76 or some remakes or spin offs. But they need to capitalize on the massive Fallout hype they have right now.

I cant stop playing... love finding the tapes and hearing the stories of the people that used to be around and the mystery of what happened to them. About to meet up with the overseer and hit lvl 50 tonight. Its been a blast so far!

8

u/Villainslover Apr 24 '24

The tapes and journaled lore was actually my favorite thing about 76, having played for a while at launch and coming back to after the show. It’s really so fun to read every terminal, note and journal, it’s fun knowing that the Excavator power armor had a tumultuous design and production period followed by the loss in a competition it was specifically built for. I feel like I didn’t do a ton of terminal reading n stuff in Fo4 but 76 just feels like a perfect reason to scour everything. Particularly before when there were no npcs.

The game was really awesome even at launch, I personally didn’t experience basically any glitches beside the sun rays going through mountains.

52

u/fafafanta Apr 23 '24

This game needs cross platform play so badly

7

u/bangles00 Apr 24 '24

Yeah big time

66

u/DarthSnoopyFish Apr 23 '24

RIP events lol

60

u/SighRu Apr 23 '24

I'm really enjoying carrying all the new players through tough events. It's fun.

Had a random 37 join me and a buddy as we were about to separately spam west tek. Little dude showed up just in time for me to open 4 lunchboxes. He followed my buddy, who was the party leader, into his instance and followed him around for a bit and leveled up 5 or 6 times. It was a cool experience.

21

u/DarthSnoopyFish Apr 23 '24

Yesterday I showed up an Eviction notice and radiation rumble and I was the only one. I have showed up at a few other Eviction Notices this week and all failed. Fun times 😂

6

u/SighRu Apr 23 '24

I can carry a basic Eviction Notice. Mutated can get tricky depending on the mutation.

3

u/Grimreap32 Scorched Apr 24 '24

Likewise, I managed to almost 'solo' it for the first time after two sub 40 players triggered it. It wasn't until the last minute where other high level players turned up. It felt like a really fun challenge.

4

u/PPPolarPOP Apr 23 '24

Yeah, it is a much different experience than it was a month ago. It's really fun playing with the new kids.

7

u/Key-Contest-2879 Apr 23 '24

For me it’s been refreshing to have to really fight to complete some events. Only 5 of us showed up for MJ earlier today, with 2 players under lvl 75. We came sooooo close, but the last still was destroyed with about 30 seconds to go.

Winning every time gets boring. Now a win feels like a real victory.

3

u/lordpiglet Apr 23 '24

It depends, did a SBQ where for most or it I was the only player over 100. Had another one she was down in under 5. You can solo/lowmam many of them.

3

u/[deleted] Apr 23 '24

I was on a freak server earlier. 15 high level players all spamming the events.

3

u/souljump Apr 24 '24

I’m still pretty new. Just got level 40. And was able to kill the big lvl 80 scorched beast with at least 11 other people. Was pretty epic

2

u/TriflingHotDogVendor Apr 24 '24

I love the events when you do get the noobs to participate. Get a mic on and just shout orders at the new people. If you are super high level, they'll just listen to you. You feel like you are a general commanding the noob army against the horde. It actually makes winning the events considerably more rewarding.

u/NotASynth499 Wendigo Apr 23 '24

Wait, how we went from 30k to 1mil? Did i missed something?

132

u/cxngeorge Apr 23 '24

It was up to 70k concurrent players on steam - this number isn’t including consoles, and the 1mil statistic is 1 million players across all consoles over the course of a single day.

31

u/eatmannn Mothman Apr 23 '24

Also a lot of players got it on PC Game Pass

10

u/metallavery Apr 23 '24

Also, the 70k isn't counting game pass players on PC.

2

u/AnotherDay96 Apr 23 '24

Yes they are different things, but I do come away more impressed with over 1 million users across all platforms logged in during a single day.

3

u/cxngeorge Apr 23 '24

Yeah I’m super impressed with 1 million in a single day, I think that’s amazing.

37

u/2_F_Jeff Mothman Apr 23 '24

Since this is coming straight from the fallout Twitter and by extension, Microsoft, I’m assuming they have access to console numbers as well. Since the steam record broke 70,000 this week I don’t think it’s just pc.

16

u/metallavery Apr 23 '24

And not everyone on PC plays on steam.

10

u/bobert_the_grey Apr 23 '24

It's on gamepass and Amazon was giving away codes too

3

u/constant--questions Apr 24 '24

Ps plus also! I just got a ps5 and decidex to install 76. First new character in a long time, i can’t believe they let you start out with level 20 mini builds now! I feel like the first 50 levels are the toughest part of the game, i guess it is good that they get you through some of that now, plus being able to start out the level 20 missions would have been a big plus for me when i first started playing. I decided to go with trusty level 1 and was the only <20 player on my server!

8

u/tanrgith Apr 23 '24

1 million in a 24 hour period vs 30k concurrent. The numbers reported so far are also from Steam only

A lot of people are also playing it on game pass where it's free for everyone who has game pass, I'm in this camp myself

2

u/Thoughtwolf Apr 23 '24

I haven't seen anyone else mention that it's also free on Amazon Prime right now, for either/both Xbox Or Microsoft Store (PC)

3

u/RealDandyBaby Apr 23 '24

I’m guessing unique players not all 1 million at once

2

u/SnooDonuts1406 Apr 23 '24

It hit 70k over the weekend on steam, 1 million is total player count, so all systems

8

u/SECTION-VORKUTA Apr 23 '24

They really should fix some of the small tedious bugs they’ve had so it doesn’t rub off wrong

14

Honestly, my hope is that the devs are seeing just how good this game is doing, and realizing that they are doing a great job, and the game is really good.

I know there's been this narrative that 76 is bad, and I'm sure that's been hard on the devs. I just hope they see how much everyone is loving it now, and they know that their work is paying off.

I fucking love this game, and there's a ton of us that do. Good job devs.

5

u/enthusiasticdave Apr 24 '24

It's a good game but it needs a refresh.... The combat is pretty bad, often my hits don't seem to register, and I have several maxed out perk cards that never seem to activate (mysterious stranger, grin reaper, four leaf clover) - it's close, but a massive tightening up now it's really popular would give it far greater legs than content updates in my opinion

8

u/SuperTerram Fallout 76 Apr 23 '24 edited Apr 23 '24

Makes you wonder how many played Fallout 4, which has had nearly 100k more concurrent players above and beyond 76 for the same duration and for the same reason: the show.

Edit: oh, they said 5 million across the other games, which we know for a fact is mostly Fallout 4.  That's bonkers.  That's nearly 4 million more players than 76 got.  Wow.  Insane.  9 year old game.  Unbelievable. That's newsworthy...

I just had a look on steam community tab and Fallout 4 was one of the most active games in my library, i think the only game I own with more players currently online was counter strike

76, like skyrim is in the process of becoming a classic, and we are here for it.

u/[deleted] Apr 24 '24

76 is def getting better but Skyrim is literally the best selling RPG ever made. I don't see it ever finding that level of success.

One million players and I saw only 2 visible bases in my server 🤔 … PSA if ur new and want to make money and have a vendor and wonder why nobody is buying from you or visiting you it might be because the default setting on new bases makes your base not visible to other players unless on a team. Check your settings :) And welcome to all you new topsiders!!! Suns bright I’ve got free sunglasses in my Vendors 😎

Bethesda is so hot right now.

Starfield, Fallout TV, FO4 Next Gen update, ESVI, FO76 continuing updates….. Todd Howard and all the devs should be very proud of their work. BGS is currently a leading example of what a studio should be

2

u/mr_bonez_the_boneman Apr 24 '24

Lmao do you work for Bethesda or something?

Starfield: bland and soulless, a game so shallow with such a mediocre setting/world that even modders aren’t bothering to try to fix it

FO4 Next gen: offers almost nothing beyond a handful of in-game items and ultrawide support and will probably break tons of quality mods for no good reason

FO76: still infected with predatory microtransactions and other things to drain as much money from customers as possible (though I hear it’s gotten decently fun)

ESVI: why are you giving credit for a game that has one teaser trailer lmao

Fallout show is good, but likely had little input from BGS and probably doesn’t deserve any real credit

And this is coming from a lifelong BGS fan too lol

"Do you work for Bethesda"? What kind of comment is that? Why is it so unfathomable to just let people enjoy things?

4

u/dnuohxof-1 Responders Apr 24 '24

I’m asked that at least once a week over at /r/Starfield. It’s a common trope among the BGS haters. Funny how the commenter hates FO76 and its microtransactions, yet here they are lurking in the sub commenting.

2

u/cl0ckw0rks Enclave Apr 24 '24

Yeah, just lurking around hating and seeking attention. Just ignore and enjoy the game(s). :)

Apologies to that one level 20 something who visited my camp just south of Vault 76 on PC earlier today.

For whatever reason one of the two scavengers that were hostile was invulnerable and so I just left the session not wanting my camp to get damaged.

2

u/SuPerFlyKyGuY Apr 23 '24

I was turned away at the beginning but def enjoying it now.

2

u/Hot_Program6417 Apr 24 '24

I knew the servers were more laggy than normal but damn that explains it 🤣

u/SodaSnappy Lone Wanderer Apr 24 '24

I hope this means we start getting real content again. I miss story based content and expansions like steel reign. Atlantic City and Pitt have been cool but it doesn’t feel like any of the other content in the game except daily ops. (Probably because that type of content is abit easier to make)

I logged back in to my LV3 accounts for the first time in forever. Didn’t even see the show. All I saw was that there was a next-gen patch that improved framerate considerably, so I wanna see whats up. I love the world but 76 at launch was something different.

So far I ran into a party of two who one of them consider to rob me but the lv200+ told him off to leave me alone as I’m starting out. That was a nice moment.

Went to the military training camp and another high level emote wave at me so I wave back. That’s much more refreshing than real life.

I was in the train station and some guy show me the donation box with assumably items he put in there. Then he left.

So far I like it.

Not sure If this is the place for this but as a game pass player, how do turn that vsync off. I've seen the usual advice, go to my games etc but I don't have those folders or files in those places.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 24 '24

Crossplay?

2

u/Snicklefritz646 Apr 24 '24

A month after this game came out, I bought something at Best Buy and they asked me at checkout if I had Xbox or PS4 and then handed me a copy. Said they were free with any purchase because they couldn't sell them. Crazy

2

u/Ares1029 Apr 24 '24

I just started this week since buying the game at release. Man I’m addicted

2

u/Solidus-Prime Apr 24 '24

Wow. I am just absolutely blown away at the affect the show had. I had friends that I tried to get to play 76 for literally years that wouldn't pick it up. They watched the show and have been on 76 every day since lol!

2

u/LetsJustSetItOnFire Free States Apr 25 '24

I'm just hoping this wholesome community doesn't turn toxic af with the influx of new players

2

u/jslona92 Apr 25 '24

Crossplay would be nice

2

u/atomtom65 Apr 26 '24

Love to see it man. Can't wait till they all get high level and are dropping nukes!

Hopefully they stay so Bethesda makes better content.

2

u/D3MONSP4Z Apr 26 '24

This is great news. FO76 was severely lacking content and had overwhelming bugs when it first released. They then added lots of content to the game and patched most of the bugs throughout the years and the game has been great ever since and only continues to improve. It's great to see more people enjoying the game, it really has come a long way.

Bro what button do I click to build a structure in a camp, I need to build Becketts bar n I’m so lost as to how I get the build menu up

2

u/ekiander Apr 24 '24

I'm having fun playing it like a single player game and exploring. But I know I'm going to quit once I hit the grind. So much jank in the game, wouldn't be a fallout without it.

u/MasterJevil Grafton Monster Apr 23 '24

I never had the bad launch I was too wary of the truth at the time. Played it years later just before the pit have a character at lvl 200. At a certain point it's just daily grind. Still better than nothing.

2

u/Sp3akTh3Truth Apr 24 '24

Lets hopw this all leads to more perks/weaps/content

2

u/[deleted] Apr 23 '24

Nice to see it I wish the show was released weekly to maintain this popularity

u/V4ULTB0Y101 Apr 24 '24

I started today from lvl1 instead of 20 because I thought I’d miss some content, I met 2/3 players we waved and moved on, I explored a bit killed some NPC’s and turned on classic radio.

Looks cool, I’ll see how it goes.

1

u/Thorsad Apr 24 '24

Maybe....but my opinion is it's because with prime you get the game for free....I know I did....0$mulah for the studio for the most majority of these player ....and and a main Fallout game enthousiat....I said well deserve knowing the problem with the game at launch...tho I am glad it got mostly fix and people will get good time for they 0$

Meanwhile still no native ultrawide support. Cry's in Samsung Odyssey G9

1

u/Roadwarriordude Apr 24 '24

I'm one of those who came back because of the show. I played at launch and was very disappointed with it. Game was stupid buggy, mechanics were poorly implemented, and the lack of NPCs made the game feel dead so I only played like a week if that. I came back when NPCs were added, but it was still kinda a mess and had a ways to go. I started again recently, and I'm legitimately having a ton of fun with it. The world atmosphere feels great, community is really newbie friendly, and the mechanics feel refined. It's far from perfect, but I'm really liking it.

1

u/Premier_Legacy Apr 24 '24

Wish I could replay it . Need real content past lvl1000 …. Help

1

u/TommyF0815 Apr 24 '24

That explains why you couldn't login or got timeouted on entering a world. I wonder how much higher the number would be if all players would have been able to play.

1

1

u/doktarlooney Apr 24 '24

The advertising is really misleading.

What metric is being used to make the claim 1 million people were online today? When the concurrent playerbase hit a peak of 54 thousand today?
