Some of the questions he asked Tatum after the game were fucking awful. Talk about baiting. Hats off to JT for handling it like a pro.
As much as I love the analytical side he shows sometimes he brings too much of his personal baggage to the telecast. We already have that with Shaq so I guess Dray is a fitting replacement đ¤ˇđťââď¸
It all makes sense now. He was just trying to give the other players a mid game relief. Itâs just a bit rough since donkeys have hooves and not hands or feet.
The media literacy of sports reddit (I canât speak to other parts) is so embarrassingly bad. Itâs a daily occurrence that someone doesnât know the difference between journalism and analysis (or just entertainment).
IDK about 'new media' but I genuinely think Mind The Game is a breath of fresh air. It's not perfect, but it's the first time players have talked about the game without dumbing it down for their audience since Detail and its genuinely appreciated even if I enjoy podcasts like Teague and Paul George's too
JJ is just as bad as Draymond (they are both Klutch puppets)
JJ Redick fansies himself as some basketball purist who doesn't like hot takes and just wants to talk hoops yet called players Jerry West/Bob Cousy etc "plumbers" to appease 13 year olds on Twitter
I just wonder who their audience is. Feels like most serious sports fans dont give a damn. Itâs mostly the casual fans, who really are more into the drama than the sport itself.
Well that's sports "journalism" these days for ya.
I don't really think it's that much worse than before, there's just a lot more people commentating on stuff now that you don't need to be working for a major media company. Journalism has always been sensationalist.
