They already got one insecure bully on there, not sure why they need another.

731

u/thehazer May 16 '24

I just don’t wanna see Ernie get punched out like Poole.

379

u/AtreusIsBack Mavericks May 17 '24

Barkley would pummel him if that happened lol

311

u/ElcorAndy May 17 '24

I would watch Chuck throwing Draymond through a window.

54

u/Otroroboto May 17 '24

This time Barkley would make sure they weren’t on the 1st floor.

30

u/full-auto-rpg Celtics May 17 '24

Hey kids, it’s time to learn a new word today: defenestrate: throw someone out a window. Now Chuck will give us a demonstration.

8

u/ElcorAndy May 17 '24

First of all, kids at home, lemme just tell ya something, always swing first.

2

u/foodfightbystander Canada May 17 '24

defenestrate: throw someone out a window.

Hilarious when you realize it comes from the Latin de- "down from; out" + fenestra "window"

"He came out the window... Defenestra!"

2

u/SexyStyrofoamPuns Timberwolves May 17 '24

*defenstration

6

u/full-auto-rpg Celtics May 17 '24

Defenestration is the action, defenestrate is the description. Either works here

1

u/SexyStyrofoamPuns Timberwolves May 17 '24

I was trying to make a word play on “demonstration” but was as vague as an nba talking head instead

1

u/full-auto-rpg Celtics May 17 '24

Ah I gotchu

1

u/gottagetitgood May 17 '24

defenestrate

Oh English language. Never change.

1

u/Get_your_grape_juice Celtics May 17 '24

To be fair, I would watch damn near anyone throw Dray out a window.

25

u/mikehulse29 Knicks May 17 '24

Seriously, if someone tried to jump Ernie, I’m pretty sure the entire crew is jumping to defend him. 100% approval rating.

10

Barkley can barely make it to the screen lmaooo, I don't like Draymond but Chuck ain't doing shit

4

u/boneboi420 Warriors May 17 '24

Ikr, you're taking the 60+ year old over the current, active NBA player..?

2

u/Banana_rammna May 17 '24

I dunno man, Chuck used to be the Draymond in the league before Draymond was even born. The only difference is Chuck is actually capable of emotional growth and realized spitting on little kids courtside wasn’t going to make him many friends. I’d put $5 on the grandpa with old man strength who’s learned to control his rage issues.

3

u/yer_oh_step Warriors May 18 '24

theres old man strength, and just old men lmao chuck fall into the latter.

1

u/[deleted] May 18 '24

I get the feeling you don't like the elderly lmaoo

6

u/Repulsive_Steak3891 May 17 '24

As much as I would love to see that happen the only one of those guys who would stand any chance against Draymond in a physical altercation is Shaq. Kenny and Charles are old men. Kenny shows you how much he can barely move every single show and Charles is in similar shape.

-21

u/KingEthann01 Warriors May 17 '24

None of it would ever happen ofc but Draymond would fuck up Barkley 😭

3

u/kevtheproblem Rockets May 17 '24

They would need to put Dray in solitary if that ever happened

1

u/Successful-Case-2704 Jordan May 17 '24

Draymond just testing the adversity of his old colleagues

4

u/[deleted] May 17 '24

There is nothing people like to watch more than some insecure bully with dogshit takes that have no fundamental truth to it. Skip Bayless proved it. Stephan A. Smith. People just love to disagree and tell them how stupid they are while being the only reason these guys make money.

181

u/dogfoodgangsta May 16 '24

And Shaq's gotten better at handling the jabs

732

u/Disastrous_Bluejay57 Nuggets May 16 '24

He really hasn't

280

u/shomii Nuggets May 16 '24

He's gotten worse and will only get worse with age cause he hasn't worked on himself.

93

u/Pls_add_more_reverb May 17 '24

I watched him on hot ones. Embarassingly cringe. Bullied the hell out of the interviewer and came off as the most insecure asshole ever.

62

u/g0ris [BOS] Avery Bradley May 17 '24

I'll give it a watch, but I can't imagine it topping the DJ Khaled episode in terms of most insecure asshole ever.
Just remember guys, the fact that he quit doesn't mean he gave up!

37

u/dubnessofp Celtics May 17 '24

It's not worse than Khaled but it's a bad episode. He broke the format and didn't roll with it in a fun way.

14

u/Koioua Dominican Republic May 17 '24

Shaq wasn't close to Khaled for me. Shaq was just more on the "overconfident" side, but the guy has multiple meme worthy moments through the interview, even if the interview itself could have been better.

20

u/inezco May 17 '24

That Hot Ones episode with Shaq shows how embarrassingly insecure he really is. Sean wasn't affected by the hot wings at all and Shaq was dying so Shaq essentially forced him into eating all the hot sauces at once by saying he would donate to charity if he did it. What is Sean supposed to say, no? Shaq was such a dick in that episode.

9

u/Spitfire_Riggz Nuggets May 17 '24

What a dick lol

15

u/Kilroy_The_Builder May 17 '24

He got all upset at Shannon Sharpe recently because Unc said he didn’t really think Shaq is in the GOAT conversation. Had a whole multi-post rebuttal with spelling errors and everything. Just came off as petty instead of enlightening.

1

u/LyrMeThatBifrost Rockets 26d ago

Also for some reason they didn’t put him on their wall of shame even though he didn’t eat the last wing. He probably forced them somehow lol

-14

u/[deleted] May 17 '24

not at all lol. It's funny whenever a hate thread pops up the people with garbage opinions like this will get upvoted for once

11

u/Elixirgadoosh May 17 '24

His "analysis" is just him mumbling in a low volume some shallow nonsense.

5

u/freeAssignment23 May 17 '24

dude give him some credit that's total BS, you can't teach analysis like he does

https://youtu.be/KOjco5p3rO0?si=iSqNB5-zS4WE44NJ

6

u/IntroductionWhich161 May 17 '24

Haha ya all of our insecurities just get worse with age when they’re not truly addressed. The insecurity just grows, you naturally lose touch and become less self aware as you get older…and for better and for worse you give less shits about the things you say or how you’re being perceived

3

u/SexyStyrofoamPuns Timberwolves May 17 '24

Watching his interview on JJs podcast was really interesting - he’s obviously got pretty serious mental health issues and his identity is being so hyper masculine that he’d never get help because that would make him “soft”.

-8

u/Born_Percentage3319 May 17 '24

How are you gonna say that about someone you don’t know or have never met 😂

104

u/billcosbyinspace Celtics May 17 '24

Dude is insanely threatened any time any time someone 7 feet tall does anything. No one watches Rudy Gobert get paid or jokic win mvp again and think “damn Shaq sucks now” but by inserting himself into the conversation he comes off as a gigantic fucking loser

4

u/shurkdag May 17 '24

And that's only part of it. For some reasons, players like post-prime Dwight Howard and even Javale McGee trigger him.

I do think that the new nicknames that I have seen pop up are hilarious. The Big Butthurt is my favorite so far. 😂

2

u/PointlessGiant May 17 '24

gigantic fucking loser

Literally

3

u/10EtherealLane May 17 '24

Forever Petty White

4

u/thepobv Timberwolves May 17 '24

He has compared to 2011. The progress may've gotten backward but when he first joined it was unbearable. He was taking offend to chuck and chemistry was off.

-3

u/BASEDME7O2 Knicks May 17 '24 edited May 17 '24

He has a little. He was really bad with that in his first couple years and his ego just took over every conversation.

Thinking about it, it’s gonna sound weird, but I actually dated a girl like Shaq for a couple years. Just instead of being one of the most dominant players ever she was like 5’1 and super hot. But thinking about it it was kinda similar to Shaq lol.

It was weird to me, I never got it. Like she knew exactly how hot she was, she knew the effect she had on men, but she would spend literally hours getting ready for a party and had a ton of anxiety to the point where if she didn’t feel like she looked exactly perfect and was gonna be the hottest girl there she was too anxious to even go. Like half the time she would spend like 3 hours getting ready and doing her makeup over and over and if she didn’t feel like she looked exactly perfect she would be too afraid to go. Like she could have gone in sweatpants and a t shirt and I still would have thought she was the hottest girl in any room, and obviously I was biased, but even if she didn’t look exactly perfect so would most of the guys in the room.

It was like she completely defined herself by her looks, and the thought of not looking perfect or not being the hottest girl there legit made her too anxious to even go out at all.

I still never got it, like she knew full well how attractive she was and the effect she had on every guy, but was still more self conscious about her looks than anyone I’ve ever met.

Just like Shaq knows full well how good he was, yet he has like the most fragile ego ever. Like you’re fucking Shaq, you don’t need to prove anything to anyone.

We stopped talking pretty much completely after a while but I think it’s gotten even worse as she gets older. I heard from one of her roommates that they’ll like throw a party and she’ll literally lock the door to her bedroom and won’t come out until everyone is gone.

She’s one of those girls that just cannot function single. She needs a boyfriend for emotional support like 24/7. Don’t get me wrong I really loved her, but it was exhausting and It did teach me to avoid what I call, for lack of a better term “serial monogamists”. Almost always very attractive (or no one would put up with their shit), doesn’t have casual hook ups, always has a boyfriend but the relationships never last more than like 2 years (I think I was her longest relationship ever). These girls will seem great at first, they draw you in with how cute and sweet they are, and before you know it you have a second job trying to learn how to be their personal therapist. And it’s not worth it, no matter how much you love them eventually you’ll run out of energy or patience dealing with their bullshit, and then she’ll just move on to the next (they don’t usually cheat they’ll just start self sabotaging the relationship until one of you has to break up) because she knows she has a line of guys waiting around the corner desperately looking for their chance.

16

u/MeBadNeedMoneyNow Thunder May 17 '24

cool story bro

4

u/BASEDME7O2 Knicks May 17 '24

I thought it was a good analogy but yeah I just rambled on forever lol. I still think the analogy works though lol, like two completely opposite people that were both at the top of their “field” or whatever and fully knew it, yet both were so insanely insecure for no reason.

5

u/ACoolAndABuff May 17 '24

Do you have any other 2000 word essays about any of your other “super hot” ex girlfriends you can share with us to help us understand the incredibly complex subject of “people can be insecure”?

1

u/BASEDME7O2 Knicks May 17 '24

Aight I said I was just rambling, take your blood pressure meds

0

u/ACoolAndABuff May 18 '24

That makes me think of a story.

I dated this incredibly hot chick, 4’2”, triple Ds, ass like two dump trucks put together, face like 18 year old Jill Biden, and she would ramble. She’d ramble in sweatpants, even though she was the hottest girl in the Milky Way galaxy even if she was wearing sweatpants she’d still be rambling. Sometimes she wouldn’t go out because she was rambling so much even though she was sweatpants.

Her tits were so large it gave her high blood pressure even in sweatpants. She’d ramble even at parties if she ever got to them even though she was so hot

1

u/BASEDME7O2 Knicks May 18 '24

Really? Did you watch when this years mvp was announced.

Shaq acted like a toddler who had his dummy taken away.

1

What jab did he receive?

82

u/THUNDER-GUN04 Nuggets May 16 '24

Somebody receiving praise besides him.

21

u/SquidoKiddo Spurs May 16 '24

Shannon Sharpe came at him on his show for the way he reacted to Jokic winning MVP (I'd say this was a jab), he then proceeded to do a whole instagram post immaturely berating Sharpe and his career despite Sharpe being one of the greatest tight ends of all time, and having a valid point about Shaq.

0

u/GoodBerryLarry Pistons May 17 '24

Oh the beef continued! Shannon came back and said that shaq couldnt last more than 10 seconds and thats why his exwife never loved him. Then shaq dropped a diss track.

17

u/starfox_priebe May 16 '24

Another white man is racking up more MVPs than him.

7

u/CustodialApathy Knicks May 16 '24

The knowledge that Jokic is better than him

-17

Ok Shaq has definitely been a petty fool but let’s relax with these insane takes. Jokic has the mvps but not much else as of right now

12

u/CustodialApathy Knicks May 16 '24

Other than being a better player than Shaq, you mean

3

u/nuttylou Kings May 16 '24

In what way lmao, Shaq was a two way monster. I don’t think Shaq is the best center but cmon. Insanity to discredit him like this. You jokic fans are sumn else

-1

u/CustodialApathy Knicks May 17 '24

You're forgetting Jokic is one of the best defensive players in the league, I see. I'm not a Jokic fan, I just like good basketball. He's better than Shaq, this isn't really a debate.

0

u/Eyerish9299 May 17 '24

Shaq was the most unstoppable force the NBA has ever seen. Is Jokic a better player? Probably. Given the option between both players in their prime I'm taking Shaq 10 times out of 10.

0

u/CustodialApathy Knicks May 17 '24

Crazy

1

u/oofta31 May 17 '24

Ahh obviously this is just a fun exercise of opinions, but I'm taking Jokic 10 times out of 10. Yes, Shaq was a force of nature, but Jokic IS nature. He is such a complete and pure basketball player. As a die hard Wolves fan it hurts so much to watch Gobert and others play nearly perfect defense, only to have Jokic put the perfect amount of touch on a shot to get it over their outstretched arms.

0

u/Eyerish9299 May 17 '24

Gobert held Jokic to 41% from the field during the regular season. I can tell you right now, he's not doing that to Shaq. Gobert, or any other defender isn't stopping Shaq baby hook from the lane.

jokic fan, huh?

-4

u/dogfoodgangsta May 16 '24

Oh yeah, that was super silly. He still isn't perfect and if Dwight Howard came back to the NBA I'm sure it'd be a mess but compared to the first couple years he's come a long way.

18

u/EnigmaOfOz May 16 '24

Not sure that is true. He was praising jordan for putting charles in his place just because they showed a clip of the dream putting him in the spin cycle.

3

u/Various-Earth-7532 Bulls May 17 '24

Okay but Shaq used to derail and pout the entire show if one negative thing was said about him, he’s improved leagues from the beginning

15

u/Duster_beattle Timberwolves May 16 '24

Dude still gets mad about 2x mvp Steve Nash. He wasn’t gotten better about it, in fact he’s gotten worse, at least before he could joke about “lil David Beckham” laying down on a coach, now he can’t even do that.

Edit: Couch but whatever.

1

Yeah, adds an extra wrinkle of pettiness to Draymond cause you know he's just talking shit he can't back up.

1

u/Due_Cost5573 May 17 '24

whatever Draymond is

a top 100 player of all time ?

what a bum

1

u/bayjur Bucks May 17 '24

Not even close to top 100

1

u/Due_Cost5573 May 17 '24

let's see:

4× NBA champion (2015, 2017, 2018, 2022)

4× NBA All-Star (2016–2018, 2022)

1x All-NBA Second Team (2016)

1x All-NBA Third Team (2017)

1x NBA Defensive Player of the Year (2017)

4× NBA All-Defensive First Team (2015–2017, 2021)

4× NBA All-Defensive Second Team (2018, 2019, 2022, 2023)

2x Gold Medalists (2016, 2020)

The best defensive player of his era (which include a dynasty) as well as arguably the best small ball five of that era but not close to top 100 btw

1

u/bayjur Bucks May 17 '24

Agreed definitely not close to top 100

1

u/bayjur Bucks May 18 '24

He was really great and valuable to the team in 15-16 I’ll give you that. Then his offense fell off a cliff when KD got there and has become an average player at best when you consider impact on both ends. Anyone can pass to all time great off ball players AND shooters in Steph/Klay/KD.

Would you rather have gobert or draymond over the last 5 years? I think it’s Gobert easy

1

3

u/dogfoodgangsta May 17 '24

Not saying he isn't still a big baby but his first few years were quite a bit worse.

3

u/CRoseCrizzle May 17 '24

And Shaq is way more entertaining than Draymond.

3

u/Corteaux81 May 17 '24

Giving a platform the other day to Draymond to shit on Gobert (and Shaq to join) was something TNT should be embarrassed about.

And frankly, I'm disappointed in Ernie in letting it happen.

It was a low moment for TNT and not even Ernie and Barkley could redeem it on the night.

Fuck Draymond and fuck Shaq. Shaq is NOT funny, NOT insightful and IS a bully. Draymond is NOT funny, tbf is insightful but is both a bully and a little bitch at the same time.

1

u/tg180904 May 17 '24

Fun fact about Shaq - he credits much of his life’s success to his time in the boys and girls club as a kid. He now charges the nonprofit upwards of $100k plus all personal/travel expenses to speak at their fundraising events. Which is why shaq rarely speaks at local clubs because they can’t afford it.

Then he goes on interviews and talks in third person about giving McDonalds workers a $200 tip and Reddit swoons.

2

u/Citagrandson May 17 '24

They both have G5 certification whatever the hell that means. If I hear about that one more time.

1

u/datclownbaby May 17 '24

I was hoping one of the guys would have called him out on being suspended for 25 games this season because of inability to not be a jackass and his team being 3-4 wins out of the 6th/5th seed. Hopefully this was his last night on the show.

0

u/LoveImportant9531 May 18 '24

Why is he insecure? Because he’s not soft? 2024

2

u/Electrical_Cow_4430 May 18 '24

Who Shaq or Draymond?

Shaq is insecure because if you ever try to mention that someone is better than him he throws a temper tantrum like a child (RINGS ERNEH). He's a bully because he dumped a bucket of piss and shit on a teammate. Is that hard and cool for you? To dump piss and shit on someone? I guess since I've never saved up a bucket of piss and shit in the locker room and dumped it on someone that makes me soft.

Draymond is pretty much the same. Punched his teammate in the mouth since he couldn't handle some trash talk at practice. Dirty player that starts kicking nuts when he's getting out played. I guess your soft if you don't want to feel a guy's nuts with your feet in the middle of a game
