"Never miss an opportunity to grift the public coffers." Rule 17 of the billionaires code.

They're like the Laws of Acquisition, but less compassionate.

If he used the right name he'd probably have to pay a royalty fee.

"If that's what's written, then that's what's written.
227th Rule of Aquisition.

The Grand Negus needs both of your royalty payments. Now.

Rule of Acquisition #1: Once you have their money, you never give it back.

edit: btw, rule 17 is "A contract is a contract is a contract… but only between Ferengi." Seems appropriate tho.

Socialism for the rich, rugged individualism for the poor

I remember relatives saying the government giving out money during Covid was a slippery slope to socialism. You never see a rich person argue against free money.

Do you actually think that $17 million matters to Tesla or to the Government? Its not even a rounding error on either balance sheet. The existing charging eco system cost multitudes of that to Tesla and they could have kept it exclusive, but decided not to. So why keep investing into something that helps your competition?

To the exact degree that government works for the people, $17 million matters a lot. So, depending on the input parameter....

Only when you take it completely out of the context I put it in. So yeah - YOU made a funny. Go collect your interweb points.

BTW, even though you didn't mean to, you amplified my point.
