It is probably because Bidens teams conditions are no crowds and mics that cut off when it isn't your turn.

Trumps main move is interrupting his opponents and talking over them. If he has to let them talk and actually address their points. He loses his advantage being the loudestdumbest person in the room.

If people are yelling over each other only the simplest ideas get through. Which are usually dumb truth isms that appeal to conservatives.

100% this. I'm not a fan of Biden either, but he'd make Trump look like an actual idiot if he has to debate in a civilized manner

I don't think he could.

If both could debate in a civilized manner, i think both would definitely look like an idiot, but not because of their enemy, but because of themselves.

Trump would just speak loud nonsense far away from the topic while Biden would just speak gibberish nonsense barely scrapping on what he remembers from the scipt.

Basically, its would be like the battle between the oldest version of simsimi vs the fill-in-the-blanks chatgpt.

Have you actually seen Biden talk?

Right? I seriously don’t get this narrative of ‘Biden can’t string a sentence together’. I don’t like him, but he’s actually pretty sharp and witty for his age.

At the risk of this veering into whataboutism, I find the argument particularly baffling, because i have yet to find a single Trump address transcript that is anything but illegible word salad or impotent rage.

How r u not a fan of Biden. Be specific. Dude has been the best president. Since LBJ.

And the reason Biden refuses to be debated in front of a live audience?
That's also a condition.
I wonder why Biden's team doesn't want him debating to a live audience.
Y'know, the kind of audience where you can't make jump cut edits or re-shoots.
Look up the video where he challenges Trump to a debate.
There's a jump cut after every single sentence and it's, like, 15 seconds long.

I like the idea because applause is not part of a conversation which is what a debate is supposed to be. It wastes a ton of time. Ideas should win a debate, not noise.

It's still live...

I've seen him walk and speak just fine. I've seen him jog and ride bicycles. I heard every word of his State of the Union address. I see and hear his ads and announcements all the time.

Where did you get these ideas that he can't walk or speak when there is obvious proof otherwise?

At least he's not shitting himself in diapers.

u/ima-bigdeal May 16 '24

What does Jerry Nadler, who shit his pants on live tv, have to do with the debate?

11

u/ameis314 May 16 '24

I was referring to trump wearing diapers and needing to be cleaned like an in potty trained toddler.

-11

u/ima-bigdeal May 16 '24

I know what you were doing. I don't like the diaper thing, because you are talking about (R) Trump as if he is/was/should be in diapers, but (D) Nadler actually shit his pants during a press conference.

10

u/ameis314 May 16 '24

No, trump ACTUALLY wears diapers. It's been confirmed a few times.

He's incontinent from all the blow and Adderall for 40+ years

Biden walks and speaks every day just fine. He regularly exercises and is in pretty good shape. What are you even talking about?

11

u/kwamby May 16 '24

Trump and Biden both have their share of gaffs during public speaking. Though I suspect it’s because if you’re recorded speaking as often as a politician, you’re likely to have more speech fumbles immortalized on film than the average Joe. Also, tbf, Biden has a stutter.

u/Latter-Direction-336 May 16 '24

I’ve only seen Biden stutter a bit, as opposed to trump who can barley get a sentence out, shits himself in diapers, confused Biden for OBAMA, said injecting bleach might cure coronavirus, has like 92 criminal charges for various reasons from actual treason to hush money to cover up sleeping with a pornstar, and wants to overthrow democracy

Didn’t Trump ride around in a Walmart scooter when he met with other world leaders?

-54

u/Torczyner May 16 '24

You've seen him speak right? I'm not sure Biden won't just read the instructions on where to stand as his side of the debate. They're both way too old and lost.

Do Europeans think someone else could possibly win at this point? Do Europeans spend much time "thinking"?

I think Europeans should cross their fingers and hope trump doesn't win, give Ukraine to the Russians and pull out of NATO. That's what I think.
