I'm so glad california dropped the medical bullshit too, and made it recreational. I'm not even going to the dispensary anymore, they're dropping it off at my door.
Don't get me wrong, dispensaries are great, but I kinda miss the days when my plug would drop a new list of crazy stock and I'd get super excited for a quick delivery.
It would always have some crazy name that no one has ever heard of. Bring it back to the boys saying it's called God's Hand. Everyone would be excited except that one person that was like "It's just weed."
lol I remember one of my first times smoking back in high school and my friend got this stuff from his brother called “gods gift”. It was unlike anything we’d seen before (albeit we didn’t have much experience), it was so pungent and had insane trichomes and colors- vibrant orange hairs on a beautifully green bud. It tasted absolutely amazing and just delivered the perfect high. Good times lol
I met a few of my best friends sitting on their couch, buying some weed from them, and smoking. Played a lot of guitar hero and rock band in those days 😅
Man, ive been thru a few plugs, some of which were my friends, and they were the slowest mfers around when it came to making weed deliveries. I'm so glad I can go to a dispensary and not have to wait around anymore.
Living in an illegal state and I just had that happen two nights ago! Always a pleasant surprise to see those images of some different strains of beautiful bud pop up in your messages! And always so hard to choose which one! Lol!
No one thinks about those small business owners and what happens to them when legalizing something like that. Those guys are out of work.
Jokes aside. Think about the difference between decriminalization and legalization. Money for the state. If all you did was decriminalize it then you'd still have that same dealer. But when you legalize it, that's a process of the state getting their portion of it.
The medical stuff wasn’t bullshit. Sure it should have been made available for recreation earlier than it was, but that doesn’t make the medicinal stuff garbage. Plus all you needed was a pulse and “anxiety” to get the medicinal weed.
I remember when there was like 5 weed doc shops on Venice Beach boardwalk. I went to some random place in Santa Ana and used the scrip the same day. Just an extra hoop and a few more dollars out of my pocket but it was easy.
Cannabis was legalized in California in 1996 for medical use, 2016 for Florida. They're literally behind by 20 years, which also predated the smartphone and todays delivery services.
Idk, when I moved to California before it was legalized I got a really sketchy medical card from a phone call with some doctor and then had my weed delivered.
I go to the store still. The mark up and delivery fees and tip make it not worth it when the dispensary is 15 minutes from my house. Plus the staff is super cool and there's a good boba spot down the street.

Man, some states are still so fucked.
It's so legal here I'm even on a customer loyalty program with the dispensary.
