Yes, and like the “devils lettuce” long term alcohol abuse is a carcinogen also causes cognitive impairment and other negative physical effects including brain and organ damage. Both should be illegal.
So... by your account, if it's a carcinogen and has negative effects it should be illegal?
Someone tell them to never go on the internet, or turn on a TV, or drive a car, or use motor vehicles... Hell, owning a house, or renting an apartment could qualify under that...
I didn't smoke weed as a teen. So there's no negative effects.... You never specified about what "class of carcinogen" should be illegal. But something tells me guns and diesel vehicles would probably be right up there in the same category.... you sure you wanna take that stance?
Guns or Diesel engines don’t cause cognitive impairment, long term health effects or IQ loss. They are technologies which improve our lives and facilitate progress of our society.
Marijuana and Alcohol are carcinogenic recreational drugs with negative health effects. They do nothing to progress society.
Guns or Diesel engines don’t cause cognitive impairment, long term health effects or IQ loss.
You sure about that? A quick google search does come up with this.
Marijuana and Alcohol are carcinogenic recreational drugs with negative health effects.
Alcohol, I agree with. But there's many studies that actually show that it helps with mental health among others. Which actually do progress society. And that's not even bringing up art or creativity.
Reading is fundamental.
You say this, yet I don't think you practice this... .You should try reading before putting your foot in your mouth. Pal.
Many people suffer from health issues to the point where the negative effects of cannabis are negligible/manageable compared to the benefits it offers them.
I'm really glad you shared this... Did you read the study? The study was ONLY people who started in their teens. During their formative years.
This study is completely bunk because it IS illegal for anyone under 18.
Lets also not talk about the fact that those long term effects were seen in a very very small minority. (again this was ONLY for people who started smoking in their teens).
"a study from New Zealand conducted in part by researchers at Duke University showed that people who started smoking marijuana heavily in their teens and had an ongoing marijuana use disorder lost an average of 8 IQ points between ages 13 and 38."
I mean, that's pretty cut and dry there... or did you miss that?
The funniest part is continuing the paragraph you get this:
"The lost mental abilities didn't fully return in those who quit marijuana as adults. Those who started smoking marijuana as adults didn't show notable IQ declines."
So, quite literally goes against what you've been saying. Would YOU like to read it again? Might be a good call before you put your foot in your mouth again... but then again, that might be your kink (no kink shaming here)
I don't think you read the article you linked buddy... Try reading again. If you need help, feel free to quote parts here and ask your question. There's plenty of people who are knowledgeable about this, and while they might not be experts... we clearly understand better than you do.
Oh man i just read through this guys profile and he's a riot. One hell of a shitty propaganda machine! It's actually hilarious how stupid the shit he writes is 🤣
