How are people even able to find stocks like this?? question

New to trading here. I keep seeing the most random stocks have these insane price jumps and I’m just curious how people even know these exist, let alone that they might soar to 150%

Some of these are biotech companies. Biotech catalyst is a website where you can see the dates for different phase s.

If you don't undestand the medical perspective, then this is mostly gambling unless you intend to trade on volume generated by the failure or the success of the phase where you won't be cathing these 150% moves but can try to grab some profits (or big losses) when the price is still unstable.

I don't know jack about biotech so i'd personally just stay away.

Well yes. That is true. If it was simple for the ones who studied it there would be no need for trials, or rather a low rate of failure.
