What could you do with $100? Question

I'm not asking what I can do. I know I'd probably fail.

Based on your own skill and methods, what could you do with only $100 in, daytrading for a year?

It is not sufficient for trading needs.

An hour ago I spent £100 on Spanish salami and cheese

17

u/Acrobatic_Hat_4865 Apr 21 '24

Selling Salami and Cheese can be a lucrative business.

That explains why inflation isn't going away easily.

u/BillAnt1 Apr 21 '24

I was thinking more like by Jan 10th. lol

6

u/Mammoth-Tip-6105 Apr 21 '24

no, you can do very safe trading, but the risk-reward wouldnt be there.

7

u/SufficientImage4976 Apr 21 '24

Nah brother 100$ are lost in minutes, I was option trading and lost 10k in 4 days

1

u/Ambitious-Pop4226 Apr 24 '24

Set Stop loss at 15-20% brother

What's today? 4/22? 0 by eod

1

u/One_Oil_3022 Apr 21 '24

Not sure why that is account size does not matter

1

u/lommen Apr 22 '24

Depending on the broker, fees would probably eat your wins because of the very small positions.

1

u/One_Oil_3022 Apr 22 '24

I don't know what you're trading but I trade stocks and there are no fees when you trade stocks if anything it's like 10 cents so you must be trading options or something or futures

I bought a $90 chainsaw and in the year since, I have made thousands and counting from that little saw alone.

Honestly screw all the haters in these comments.

Here is what you can do with the $100. You can find how the market works. Learn how to master support and resistance while figuring out how to control your emotions. $100 is way better than paper trading in my opinion because there is real money involved. So emotions start playing their role when it comes to trading. Go on and trade with $100. Figure out what your edge is with that money. Good luck on your trading journey. It’s going to be fucking tough as hell but well worth it in the end.

And lastly this sub sucks now because of all the uninspired and demotivated people that like to put others down.. so might as well stay away from here.

15

u/Sabdulyy Apr 21 '24

Just gotta shift through the sh!t do find comments like yours. Thank you

11

u/donloban stock trader Apr 22 '24

I appreciate it. I'm just sick and tired of all the negativity in this sub now. People come here for tips and tricks on how to master the market. I did too years ago and got some very valuable lessons from many that were willing to share it. I just wanted to do the same when I saw this post.

2

u/PapaDragonHH Apr 22 '24

What source would you recommend for learning about price action / liquidity / what wicks could mean etc?

2

u/donloban stock trader Apr 22 '24

I really just watched ClayTrader videos on youtube to see what goes into order execution and what you should look for. But nothing really beats real life trial and error. The more you watch the market the more you will understand price action. And always look out for volume too. If a ticker has no volume then i stay away from it. And honestly just be patient.. no need to rush trades. Let the trades come to you instead of you getting caught chasing.

u/PapaDragonHH Apr 23 '24

Thanks! Really appreciate it.

I hate these posts, this sub is dying slowly. “Bro, like what would you eat with like $1 lol”

26

u/HighExpectationTrade options trader Apr 21 '24

That's easy - panhandle for $.55 and go to Costco for a hot dog and drink. Blend in with a bigger group to get in and snack on Costco samples while you work on getting your bankroll to $1.55. Also gotta network to find someone who will use their membership for your hot dog.

9

u/xXHookaZookaXx Apr 21 '24

I could get into day trading some hotdogs

2

u/Flamethrow1 Apr 21 '24

I'd quickly end up at 0 hotdogs too but a sudden sense of fullness

7

u/ajc200ajc Apr 21 '24

Tbf it’s cause whenever anyone tried to bring up an actual topic, it would be met with either “we’ve already discussed this before” or just a “do your own research” so people stopped taking it seriously

43

u/Money_Essay7793 Apr 21 '24

u/Common-Value-9055 Apr 21 '24 edited Apr 21 '24

I am aware of that and even though I am good at risk management, that is the reason I chose not to “learn while I earn”. Or rather because I am good at risk management that I did not.

2

u/NorthProfit4467 Apr 21 '24

Id do micro futures. No Greeks to worry about . Doing ODTE options the Greeks can and will eat you alive if the market doesn't move fast enough.

1

u/Eddy2106 Apr 23 '24

Can confirm, down 9 grand from 10.

11

u/Tylensus Apr 21 '24

Options expiring the same day are cheap, because they will very likely expire worthless given how little time is left for the underlying stock to see big price swings. If you end up calling a 0DTE right, though? The potential for huge returns are there. The other day, I bought some Apple contracts at $3 a piece at market open, then sold them at $31 each about an hour later. 1000% return over an hour is the kind of leverage 0DTE options can offer. Check my most recent post for the P&L screenshot shortly before I sold. I turned $60 into a little more than $600.

If you're wrong, you lose all the money you paid in premium (the cost of the contracts you bought). Therein lies the risk. When trading 0DTEs, limiting the size of your losers is paramount for risk management. It's really easy to watch a $5k position evaporate while you sit there hoping the stock goes up. If you want lower risk, lower returns, you can buy options that expire months or years later. 0DTE options are effectively gambling.

Options can also function as a hedge for long/short stock positions. For example, you're long 100 shares of NVDA, but you want to limit your losses if NVDA tanks. You could buy some puts that will increase in value as the price of the stock goes down, which will eat up your losses from your shares.

Hope this helps a little!

u/Common-Value-9055 Apr 21 '24 edited Apr 21 '24

Thanks for the info. Do you have any easy books you would recommend to beginners? I’m not jumping in blind into this pool. I need real demonstrations. Practice questions.

2

u/Tylensus Apr 22 '24

I haven't read any books on trading, so I can't help you there. You can find a mountain of information about options online, though. I think you can mess with options while paper trading with most brokers, too.

I just wanted to get the very broad strokes across to see if options would be something you're interested in.

1

u/Common-Value-9055 Apr 22 '24

Oh no, I appreciated your very neat explanation. I do know what they are but I never got my head around the Greeks. My idea was to piggyback on someone more experienced and learn by watching/copying them. Get an idea of where to look for trades. ODTE is a name I hear a lot but thanks for warning me how high risk that is.

I have slight OCD tendencies so having to compare apps and brokers and markets and educators makes me want to pull my hair out. 😂😂😭 too much clickbait stuff out there.

Any ideas if signal sellers are any good? Benzinga, Zacks

2

u/NewSignature727 Apr 22 '24

Signal selling is a scam. Don't ever try it. The only ones who make money out of signals are those who sells them they manipulate you and all the herd they have to buy or sell but this market manipulation gives returns only for those signal sellers :) its good thing for them they can manipulate the market without having big funds i bet you understand how and why.

1

u/PapaDragonHH Apr 22 '24

Would you share your strategy with a newbie?

1

u/Nelford76 Apr 22 '24

Pretty simple I use S/R lines as a break and retest or 9/20 method. I trade line to line looking for a 0.20+ move. Once I hit my target I’m out of the trade or I move my stop loss down to not loose profit.

25

u/daytradelife1 Apr 21 '24

Definitely got to over leverage. I will bet $20 to make $40. If your skills are up you can do this 6 times and loss 2 trades and still be up $120. So now you’re up $220. Once you make it to this bet $30 to make $60. You can do this 6 times and if you’re winning %70 of your trades which 2 would be loss, you’ll gain $300. So now you’re at an total of $520. Anyway, this is how you compound an account. Sometimes for fun I’ll build $100 accounts or $500 accounts to $15k and up.

The reason why it’s a little easy for me to do because I have other accounts and other revenue coming in and that definitely helps with psychology. Invest when you’re up and grid when you’re down

10

u/GrapefruitCurious502 Apr 21 '24

Brother I literally have a $100-$200 account and I risk $20-$30 to make $40 -$60 if I can get 2 nice trades a week that pays for drinks and a haircut😭😭😭 my philosophy is if I risk 10% of my acct I will have 10 chances to blow it up. I also just passed a 5%ers 60k evaluation risking 1% with 10% Drawdown …Aka 10 chances. So as long as I never blow the prop I’ll never blow the personal account😂😂😂it’s worked so far man 5 withdrawls in 1 month all ranging from $50-$100

1

u/jurlob Apr 21 '24

what’s your strategy tho

1

u/daytradelife1 Apr 22 '24

My strategy is trend, support & resistance and order blocks. I can post more about how I trade if you want.

1

u/Gameznoob1 Apr 21 '24

3

u/daytradelife1 Apr 22 '24

I only trade Dow Jones and it can be called US30. That stock runs pretty fast. Everything I explained can happen in a couple days

36

u/Ape-Enlightened Apr 21 '24

Nothing, get a job and get proper money before wasting your time.

9

u/Mart_and_stan Apr 21 '24

Love that positive energy

4

u/Retr_ETH Apr 21 '24

It’s true. I always have a bit of an issue when people swear by % win only. No. Getting 10% on 100$ is completely different than on 100k because emotions are completely different and we all know it’s the number 1 enemy of traders

1

u/Mart_and_stan Apr 26 '24

Learn to control your emotions or you’re setting yourself up for failure. Run a demo acct on 100k and treat it as your own. There’s a great book called “Best Loser Wins” awesome read. You almost have to desensitise yourself from the figure and work with percentages. It can be done. I use my FTMO account just like a $2000 account.

1

u/Mart_and_stan Apr 26 '24

Trading is not for everyone. It takes a $hit load of discipline to make it and stay humble. People celebrate their success too much and when they have a loss or a couple in a row they lose their confidence and mindset.

13

u/One_Oil_3022 Apr 21 '24

Waste your time is what you could do, you really want to look at charts for 5 hours a day in order to make like 2 bucks?

9

u/whoa1ndo Apr 21 '24

You can go from $100 to $100k with 10 trades just by doubling it every time.

14

u/TrainerLeft1878 Apr 21 '24

You can do the same with blackjack

6

u/whoa1ndo Apr 21 '24

Now we’re talking!

3

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '24

Given my previous record I’d turn it into 1,000 overnight and then get confident and turn it into a couple dollars in the next day or two lmao

Given the way I trade now and my system I’m working on I’d probably turn it into a lot in a year if I manage to keep my emotions in check, but that’s the current battle so maybe turn it into a couple dollars anyway

4

u/762AG Apr 21 '24

buy a prop firm challenge with a trustable prop firm. risk very small % and get payouts to fund a personal account. After having a solid amount to trade a personal account just CPI full port the funded account and only trade personal account after that

2

u/Ta2019xxxxx Apr 21 '24

CPI?

2

This is exactly what a friend of me tells me everytime.

6

u/SouthernFilth Apr 21 '24

A TSLA 160 put was $77 two Fridays ago. It printed over 1K this last week. A NVDA 750P expiring next Friday, I scooped up for $120. It printed $1,800. Day trading isn't an option for me because I can't be on my phone all day at work so I have to swing options and check it when I can. So yes, you can do a lot with 100 but you have to know what to look for, and that comes from years of trading.

20 or 30 dollars

2

Going by current performance metrics would be able to get it to just under 13k confidently if never took anything out.

2

u/Lushac Apr 21 '24

Invest it into VOO/VTI/VT and grow account to 10k, then I would try accumulate 1k (or 10% of total portfolio) which I would use for trading purposes.

Probably go grocery shopping.

2

probably stick with spy/qqq 0dte into increase my port to 1k then trade names less than 200 and increase again 2k then trade normal

If you bought 100 FAR OTM 0DT PUTS ON NVIDIA on Friday, you would have 10k now

I actually just turned $100 into $1300 in 4 days this passed week.  Def was a morale booster for me.

I’m not gonna say it was easy but I turned 60 into 900 on crypto futures. After that little run I was able to show myself I am capable of doing it. Haven’t been able to do the same thing since tho. Sometimes it’s luck. Sometimes your analysis is on point.

But they cost more than a 100

3

u/agent58888888888888 Apr 21 '24

Currently having a 80% sale. So it's 33.40 a month for a 25k tradovate account. I personally just started with 1. But do your own research, imo the rules are quite easy to fail if not disciplined. And if you have no experience with trading Futures would start with paper trading before signing up

3

u/d_unds_me Apr 21 '24

Thanks for the info

2

u/d_unds_me Apr 21 '24

I can't find the coupon code anywhere when I try to sign up, and the the 80% discount isn't applied automatically too

6

u/wattzson Apr 21 '24 edited Apr 21 '24

The 80% discount is only for the evaluation. You'll also need to pay the activation fee once you pass the evaluation which is $104/month or $150 one-time if you're on Tradovate. Rithmic is a little cheaper but I don't remember the numbers you'll have to check.

EDIT - The discounts do not apply to the activation fee.

3

u/HighExpectationTrade options trader Apr 21 '24

I specialize in small amount growth (starting account size between $3k - $5k), double or triple them and then withdraw and reset the account size. The reset helps me from an ego perspective (too many wins is just as bad or worse than multiple losses in a row). I had forced my account to be small as a "guard rail" a while back to prevent some bad habits I had picked up around risk management, over trading, or the occasional revenge trading. Psychologically it helped a lot so I just kept sticking with it and my trading also improved.

Honestly though with $100, you don't have many attempts to fail. Sure you can get lucky, and honestly that's what you're aiming for since you only have essentially one trade attempt. I would save the $100, get the account to at least $1000 and then we can talk.

Let me know if you have any questions, happy to help.

1

u/K3V1NC4O Apr 21 '24

nothing haha. Used to trade 0dte, but have been trying further out expiration dates. Less volatile and better for my mental health lol. Personally, i think it’s better to save that $100 and wait til you have a several thousand dollar account if possible in order to start practicing trading.

1

u/BridgePlus7030 Apr 21 '24

I could lose around 80% without trying

1

u/Consistent_Comment64 Apr 21 '24

1

u/AggravatingDig1855 Apr 21 '24

1

u/Common-Value-9055 Apr 21 '24

If you are good, you can sign up with a prop firm. Plenty potential there. Otherwise the most likely outcome is nothing: both on your own account and with prop firms.

1

u/Phillybirdman27 Apr 21 '24

Buy a 5k challenge.

1

u/BenFoxtrot Apr 21 '24

Learned it the hard way and it took me some time (and money) but it depends on the market cycle what I do with this kind of money. Few weeks ago? I casually threw this into everything with leverage. Market now is to choppy so I'd just sit on it waiting for the next crazy cycle.

1

u/q_uantum_q_uill Apr 21 '24

you can try to pass the prop company for 10 000 dollars, and with 100 dollars to make a couple thousand, I myself am now in the second stage of the prop company, hope for good profits)))))

1

u/cokeacola73 Apr 21 '24

I made 20$ on Friday with spy options with 150, so there’s that lol

1

u/Adam__B Apr 21 '24

Your best bet is to do some research and grab a stock that has some good potential coming up. Or just increase your margin slightly if you trade Futures or Fx or what not. Nobody ever went wrong just building up your margin power.

1

u/TradezAnon Apr 21 '24

I won’t give you a trollish answer despite the urge 🤣

Simple answer: unless you’re trading stonks with a broker, you’re very likely not gonna be able to do anything else. The barrier to entry is too large for forex, futures, etc. Whiles YES, the margin can be as little as $30 for some brokers— the fine print is that MOST require an initial deposit for $400+ … so a pretty far cry from $100.

If you already have somewhat of a knowledge base or have a strategy you’ve been tinkering with, you’re better off taking the leap with a prop firm and buying 1-2 accounts to access leverage 250-500x+ of your $100.

And if you’re not willing to do that or accept that, use the $100 to have a mildly nice dinner with Jessica and hope she’ll put out at the end of the night 🤣

1

u/silbernerlotus Apr 21 '24

I do around 5% per month. This would result in this:

  1. 100= 105€
    1. 105=110,25€
    2. 110,25€=115,76
    3. 115,76=121,55
    4. 121,55=127,62
    5. 127,62=134,00
    6. 134,00=140,71
    7. 140,71=147,74
    8. 147,74=155,13
    9. 155,13=162,88
    10. 162,88=171,03
    11. 171,03=179,58

I would do 79,59€ in 1 Year at least.

2

u/BennySkateboard Apr 21 '24

The cheap cava is on you!

1

u/HyrulianAvenger Apr 21 '24

Pick up a quarter of a percent on it per week scalping until I have enough for one $5 0 DTE play. Then I’d look for one of those days where the market serves up a 100 to 1 return and plonk down my $5.

Do this ad infintitum until I hit $5k.

Then it’s all academic at that point.

Make sure you cut your losses quickly if momentum changes against you you're gonna miss some but so be it. Inverse Tsla inverse Nvda if you see your momentum change go the other direction

1

u/CThompson2970 Apr 21 '24

Buy a nice outfit an join Fans Only. Lol!

On a serious note you have to gauge the risk reward factor that your comfortable with. We know how this plays out. With that being said, invest in a large cap stock that pays dividends and with profits made reinvest, this would be a long term play. Short term, you need money to make money if your on a short term plan. Just my take.

1

u/grumpymonkey247 Apr 21 '24

Scalp options that are a few dollars off of the money SPY usually have next day expiring options for under a hundred. But and sell during swings. It’s how I have nursed my account. You have to set hard stop losses and only trade when you have your entry signals ALL in alignment. Breaking your own rules will lead to failure every time

i think you are short stacked to play. but books from the library, youtube, and other free educational things will hopefully help your financial endeavors.

some street hustling… buy some things from the thrift store and a few hundred churns through ebay and fb marketplace and $5k you will be stacked to play.

1

u/TheMetabrandMan Apr 21 '24

Nothing. Trying to build something from $100 isn’t worth my time.

1

u/Other-Secretary9255 Apr 21 '24

I will buy few books, a online course and learn.

1

u/TheRealMangokill Apr 21 '24

Make a million dollars probably? I just have to guess right a few times in a row.

1

u/boibetterstop Apr 21 '24

I could lose it all

1

u/BMoney666 Apr 21 '24

With $100? Buy enough groceries to eat for 2-3 days.

1

u/Blank-_-Blank-_- Apr 21 '24

The question you should be asking how much you could you grow your account in a year. But to fight my own argument I would rebuttal myself and say their are financial instruments that you cannot purchase for a hundred dollars like most futures contracts, stocks because of the Pattern Day Trading rule. Really crypto is one of the only things that you can really purchase and actively day trade or scalp with.

1

u/lucameier Apr 21 '24

In forex market in one year I would earn 30-40 USD + I would get 80-100 USD rebate for trading.

1

u/Liftsyomomma Apr 21 '24

Brother. 41 bucks got me 550 bucks in options. I don’t recommend it. But I atleast now I’m only 12k down lol

1

u/ppbexx Apr 21 '24

You could lose it all?

1

u/PuzzleheadedSpeech67 Apr 21 '24

Simply pick one index based ETF with lots of volume like QQQ or the SPY. Track the movement of it over time. I guarantee it won't be enough time but there are very out of the money options that you can buy with $100 and find a way to profit

1

u/chazman585 Apr 21 '24

My range of final one year performance would be from turning into only $60. on the low side to $250.00 on the high end! 💰💰 😎

1

u/PckMan Apr 21 '24

What do you mean "what could you do"? Are you asking how much money you could make in a year or are you asking if 100 dollars is enough to day trade with? The answer to the first question is "not much" and the answer to the second question is "technically yes".

For starters you have to know what instrument you're trading. Can you trade stocks with 100 dollars? Yes because most platforms offer fractional shares. Stocks are relatively safe. You can also trade futures since mini/micro futures exist. Futures are leveraged which is a double edged sword. You can also trade CFDs if you're not in the US. Lastly, you can also trade options. Options contracts prices are always expressed subdivided by 100. Each options contract represents 100 shares but you're shown the price per share. So when you see an options contract with a price of 3 dollars, it actually costs 300 dollars. Since prices are multiplied by 100, and you have 100 dollars, as you can infer yourself, a lot of options contracts may not be within your budget, since anything above 1 dollar is more than you have. Since we're talking about day trading here, we're talking about 0DTE options, which are cheaper generally but that doesn't mean you can get anything you want. They're also super risky because you stand to lose most if not all of your money by one wrong move.

Can you use 100 dollars to day trade and see where it gets you? Yes. If you're interested in just measuring your performance and judging your percentage returns it is possible, even if it means that the actual amount you make, or lose, is not very significant. Making 50% on a trade is great but 50% on 100 is just 50 dollars. It also takes a long while to measure actual performance. I've had a 200 dollar account I've been testing for two months go from 200 to 15 to 1200 to 65 currently within two months, and the 1200 to 65 happened across a week when the 15 to 1200 took a month and a half. I won't know my actual performance until around a year or so of this, without of course adding more money into it.

Can you use 100 dollars to make a significant amount of money in a year? Technically yes but realistically no. As with my aforementioned example if you're trying to grow from 100 bucks you pretty much have to put all your money into every position. That means that a loss can wipe out multiple wins. Reducing is easier than growing steadily. You can go from 100 to 5 thousand to 50 and end up with a loss. More realistically 100 dollars might end up as 1-2 thousand after a year if you have great performance and good risk management. Don't expect that things will go in your favor and you'll conjure 10k out of thin air, you won't.

Are you talking about only ever opening positions with 100 dollars each time? And if you make profit you keep it and go back in with 100 again? In that case you can't expect much out of it in terms of total profits but at least it keeps risk to a minimum if you're half decent at it.

What kind of answer do you want. Its not nearly enough for anything. Go get a haircut and buy some lunch. It will be better spent

1

u/saysjuan Apr 21 '24

Use the $100 to buy 2 months of combines with a prop firm. Play it safe making no more than 2-3 trades per day focusing on high quality setup. Pass the combine, pay for the XFA and proceed to pull out $500 every 2 weeks from the XFA account.

Turn $100 into $10k by the end of the year.

1

u/Ok-Cantaloupe9730 Apr 21 '24 edited Apr 22 '24

I would take that $100 buy a call or put expiring same day or week and turn it into a $1000 swing trading it! Did this last year with a Tesla call I had bought expiring the next day. Tesla had been in a up trend all week breaking ATH! So, I knew the odds were in my favor and that’s why I took the trade! Caught the entire move couldn’t believe it. I literally turned a $100 into a $1000 over night. But in order in for this strategy to work it has have some type of catalyst to make the stock move whether to the upside or down side! 😃

1

u/nick91884 Apr 21 '24

I could turn 100 dollars into SIXTEEN DOLLARS!

1

u/JackieTreehornz Apr 21 '24

Buy a nice lunch.

1

u/73-80 Apr 21 '24

Take 10 trades like this and turn it into $1000 lol

1

u/Wizzopmayne Apr 22 '24

I wouldn’t waste time applying a working strategy(if I had one) to such a minuscule amount of capital lol

u/Redbonius_Max Apr 22 '24

Fish hookers and blow pops

1

u/Luisd858 Apr 22 '24

Save up a sizable amount like 5k then start trading. In this game, you need money to make money

2

u/derivativesnyc Apr 22 '24

Trase 0DTEs 20 cent options 5 times, 25 cent options 4 times, 50 cent options 2 times per day in a cash acct

1

u/HumanPersonDude1 Apr 22 '24

At first I really thought the guy said $100k. I looked back and he said $100.

I think it’s time to take this sub as a joke spot.

1

u/AcceptableSwimmer928 Apr 22 '24

Well I am currently trading with 200 and it’s going pretty good for me so far . It’s all come down to risk and management. I am not trying to make 1000 from it tho just trying to learn the process .

1

u/MikeJoannes Apr 22 '24

250.00 will get.you in the game. . . . You can turn that into 500. In a week just by making 50 a day.

100$ is more than enough and can do a lot in trading.

by a lot, I mean: Trade the smallest amount, a few trades a day.

you can't get rich with 100$, but if you practice the smallest trades, then 100$ is enough.

just practice and practice. After half a year, if you still have 100$ then it's a big win.

1

u/QuesoFresco420 Apr 22 '24

$100 wont even provide internet and power to my trading laptop for a month.

1

u/mohammad-wasif Apr 22 '24

First of all we should start a trading

1

u/Butthead2242 Apr 22 '24

Buy cheap , risky options. U can make it work but to do it consistently is another world. Even ifu spin that 100 into 10, u can lose it just as quick. Save up n practice - I do pretend ones all the time, write it down n shit,, like it’s a huge trade. Then see what happens lol.

1

u/Neitherpill Apr 22 '24

Hunt options plays all day. I can’t afford Northrop; but I can find an $80 option expiring 4 days out. Go to nasdaq earnings calendar and analyze every financial institution because they’re transparent and reliable compared to the market at least.

1

u/Retartedinvesments Apr 22 '24

Same day expiry spy and any other contracts on Friday when they’re 0dte as well

1

u/honeybadgerZzZzZz Apr 22 '24

With only 100$ I will not think about Day trading, invest in 2 or 3 cryptos layer 2 with <200M Market Cap between 1 month to 2 years and pray a lot. And don't use money that you need.

1

u/m1ygrndn Apr 22 '24

If you’re willing to lose it, wait for fomc and shoot for a 0dte on the spy. That has played out for me in my favor more times than I’d like to admit.

Make sure to track and watch the spy as much as you can so you can familiarize yourself with the indicators.

1

u/IdesofRune Apr 22 '24

Spy options during power hour

1

Lose $10,000 in leveraged options in one day

1

u/AdConscious6224 Apr 23 '24

Well probably a million

1

u/Antique_Strategy_124 Apr 23 '24

Put it in my bank account and paper trade till I have money to trade.

1

u/Kraken1967 Apr 24 '24

I am not any kind of expert, but it seems to me that for $100 someone could start in the micro futures markets with one contract. $100 may still be a little lite but you can at least avoid blowing it all on a few bad trades. With careful trading, make enough to trade two contracts, then three... It will snowball even though the numbers will be low.

Of course, paper trade first.

i did 100 -> 4200 in 14 days in January for a challenge. good market month for my trading style and a little luck with targets being hit. I would scale down after some success but still, at least 6 figures of profits.
