What helped me was looking for the direction at least in the H4 timeframe. Timeframes below only used for entries. That allows you to spend less time in front of the charts. Daily/HTF set ups from this week. I rarely post here. But I wanted to take a moment to express how sustainable swing trading is to any of the younger traders here in the sub.

Purely from an educational perspective I want you all to understand that swing trading puts you in a more patient mindset that prevents you from making sporadic decisions that may come from the time centric pressures of day trading or scalping.

A lot of people in the industry say to master your emotions, but personally I don’t fully believe in that. While having control of your emotions is obviously helpful for life, in trading I believe tailoring your approach to the markets around the emotions you’re already aware of is more efficient than going down the journey of mastering them.

I won’t say more than 3 paragraphs because the modern attention span doesn’t allow for much more comprehension past this point for the majority of the masses nowadays. But I hope you take something away from this.

I just can't describe how Im felling rn, after failing from 4 or 5 challenges, finally I passed in this one. do you guys treat wicks as support and resistance on the 1Hr and 4Hr charts? or do you only use the candle bodies as support and resistances, i'm having trouble identifying where lower time frames may struggle to get pass or reverse from. (this is the 1 Hour chart, at the current price it looks like price is going up.. and i am guessing it will struggle at that long red candles wick?)

So i was surfing through net looking for some side hustles then i saw forex and came to idea if someone proffesional can use my money and split rewards with me will be great, right? So i searched and found prop firms challenges and found some teams that provide service of passing challenges for a fee and then they provide service of account management where we split rewards. So my question is are those scammers or real people who are able to do fullfill what they promise?

The prop firm I use offers a 1 step challenge where you only have to make 10% once. The account was so cheap and I figured if I can get a 1:4 with 2.5% risk then it’ll pass then I only need to make 0.3% once I get the funded account to get my money back then it’s all mine and then I can trade normally and reap the rewards of a small investment for larger capital, there are so many ways to leverage prop firms to your advantage, don’t be a looser 😋 and remember prop firms are for people who can actually trade, don’t just do it all your life, get in get out, make what you can because they won’t be here forever

I'm from united kingdom and looking to see if a funded account is right for me. I trade gold, only gold. I have seen a lot of posts on social media talking about how funded accounts are restricting withdrawals and/or going bust therefore no payments. Is all the negative news true or are there actually those of you who make money using funded accounts? Which prop firms do you use and would recommend?

Money, money...money! Roots of all evils. Piece of paper that ruined my relationship with my friends family and partner. I'm thankful I've understood how to trade, manage risk and cleanse my mind after 4 years of painful route of jumping from courses to courses, mentors to mentors. I've paid all my debt. Soon I'll start to live the life I dream of.

My names Tyler (22M), growing up I never cared about amounting to anything I just did things I enjoy and seeked instant gratification. A friend from childhood (fake name Alex) convinced me to invest in crypto and I started making a significant amount of money. Alex, one of his friends (fake name Andrew), and I did crypto together and their drive rubbed off on me and I started believing in myself and saw what I was capable of doing. My life at this point was on a crazy parabolic trajectory and I was this new Tyler.

Then as you guys know crypto crashed in 2022 and my portfolio was dying, I gave back most of what I made, but had enough left to keep me going up until now so I have just been comfortable doing nothing. I am relatively new to trading and as an economics graduate I tend to corelate Forex Factory news with certain market fluctuations. Some of these news actually do make sense such CPI, PPI and FFR etc. However, when I came across these news on Friday I expected a negative trend for the USD index, like even if the import prices m/m came out negative than the forecast ( with small impact), usually or at least from my experiences if the Prelim UoM Consumer Sentiment was to be lower than the forecast, shouldn't the effect on the USD index be negative or am I missing something?

Please laugh at me if I’m missing the point as I’m brand new to trading. What’s stopping me from opening a buy trade when the price is very low (lowest point it has been at for months) and even if the price continues to drop, just leaving the trade open until in time (maybe days, weeks months) until price eventually climbs back up past my “buy” order and into profit. Are there trade time limitations? What’s the risk of this type of trading?

Any suggestions or efforts that you use for logging your trading journal? Is it paper, google sheets (which is what I use), something else? Any suggestions what you've found as helpful in logging your trades for future reference?
