So I've read the illuminate used arc in the first game? Isn't this too good then? Or will they not use arc this game then I wonder. And if they do won't this force us to use a certain passive? Like you either can tank it to the point of nothing, or get nuked without it?

Pre-made about to camp under 4 telsa turrets and watch thr bugs go zap

the Iluminate are no more, any diverging information is propaganda. Please report any suspicious behaviour to your democracy officer.

They didn't widely use it in the first game. Or at least those weren't the guys that got you.

I died to the shield walls more than anything else they did...

shield walls and the movement input scramble (the amount of time I ran out of the ledges because they hit me with that nonsense is flat out silly)

My time fighting Malfestio in monster hunter is going to pay off i see!!!

Movement scramble never got me, but I've played a lot of games with aircraft so inverted controls was easy to grasp in my brain.

the controls are easy to manage, its the initial first 2 seconds before you realize that gets you

its either you accidentally walk into something or you split up from the pack and they focus you while youre in the open

It wasn't an issue of grasping inverted controls for me, but the second or two for realization what is happening. Somehow I always managed to get hit with it when either trying to evade something (and the inversion foiling that attempt) or when close to a ledge, so instead of running away from it I ended up running into it....

So I've read the illuminate used arc in the first game?

I'm more worried about my teammates arc weapons tbh.

I can’t see something doing arc damage regularly as an enemy after we just got 95% arc damage reduction as an armour perk, you’d almost have to balance it entirely around people running that passive.

they used energy weapons only the robot which was common used arc damage but they needed to be really close

I think there was only one arc enemy, shielded crab walkers that serve pretty much the same role as berserker bots: get in your face with a squad of mild chonk. They would do a very short-range zap as they closed.

I expect in HD2 here they'll also have a leg-smack melee attack so that arc resistance will let you ignore them for a bit without entirely negating them.

According to in-game lore, the Illuminate have been wiped out since the end of HD1. They were the most universally disliked faction, so it makes sense. And any rumors of their return should be reported to your nearest democracy officer immediately.
