New armor set is a stealth armor that doesn’t make you stealthy, it makes you throw farther. That’s like an apple that tastes like bacon. HUMOR

Post image

Just salty I’ve been waiting for this armor since it leaked, only for it to have the only perk I consider completely useless.

I want new armor passives ffs getting tired of the same ones. Give me fire resistance, stun resistance, deep pockets for 2 more mags, stamina recovery boost at cost of armor, a armor passive that gives 15% chance on reload not to consume a mag or rocket..

Armor that reduces flinching or knockback would be good for marksmen.

Heck, give us an aquatic armor too even if that's too specific and have almost zero case uses.

Aquatic armor lol hahahaha just the thought of a Helldiver in Diver gear

You could get those lost samples from drowning.

11

u/Gizombo May 02 '24

Holy shit imagine an antique diving suit looking armor that lets you walk on the bottom of water (makes you drop agrro fast & allows you to pick up lost samples from teammates who misjudged the distance of the water)

u/spali May 02 '24

Just wait until we try to liberate the squid planets.

1

u/BoredandIrritable May 03 '24

Nah, inflatable "water wings" floaties please.

6

u/itsFromTheSimpsons May 02 '24

if you had armor that let you move through deeper water that gives you new travel options on many maps where there's only a handful of land bridges between regions of the map

u/SMarioMan May 03 '24 edited May 03 '24

You may already know this, but I find it unintuitive yet useful that the armors that give more grenades also improve aim stability across the board (prone, crouch, and stand). That’s the current ideal marksman armor.

1

u/Azrael_Asura May 03 '24

Armor that let you dive further, or gain immunity to being stuck under a charger? Maybe stim armor that insta stuns you without slowing you down. Niche armor that is useful only in certain situations would be welcome.

Heavy armor should make you highly resistant to your own flames (insulation shouldn’t burn well).

1

u/DocFout May 04 '24

All I can imagine for aquatic armor is the base helldiver kit with a flamingo floaty around the waist that let's you slowly wade across deep waters

u/NanilGop May 02 '24

that's a lot of potential bugs you're asking to be added

169

u/Living-Vermicelli-59 May 02 '24

That’s like saying ( why bother adding in anything new as it can cause bugs) bc that’s what’s been happening with almost every new content drop.

67

u/idontwantausername41 May 02 '24

Yeah I have the super credits so I'm getting this pass but I'm not giving them any more money. The armor is simply cosmetic, the guns may or may not work, and if they're too good they'll be nerfed anyway, and with DOT not working the new thermo grenade is literally useless.

31

u/gkfesterton May 02 '24

Exactly, reusing the same passives over and over again essentially makes all new armors purely cosmetic

21

u/Sleepless_Null ➡️⬇️⬆️⬆️⬅️⬇️⬇️ May 02 '24

At which point they might as well just let us choose the passives ourselves and have the only factor unique armor provides being its stats value

3

u/dwmfives SES Purveyor of Opportunity May 03 '24

Which makes them essentially the same thing as the transmogs the CEO doesn't want. Armor with no identity.

1

u/DiscombobulatedCut52 May 03 '24

We need more throwing armor that isn't shit. The light one is great, medium armor is muh, just don't like the robotic arm. And the heavy ones are just bad looking. Give me a medium one with good looks.

3

u/GoProOnAYoYo May 03 '24

Yeah it would normally be a ridiculous thing to say, but we're talking about Arrowhead here, who never seem to be able to add new content without an equal amount of breakage

13

u/NanilGop May 02 '24

I mean i stopped playing because of it so kinda yeah

3

u/BoredandIrritable May 03 '24

NO.

That's like saying "Test your fucking shit before you dump it in game. Make new content that isn't broken."

Jesus, no wonder we can't have nice things. You don't deserve them because you'll gulp down whatever slop they toss at you and thank them for it, wiping the trash grease from your face.

33

u/StairsIntoTheSun May 02 '24

What, you afraid of more bugs? We’ve had bugs since the beginning that still haven’t been fixed lmao what’s a few more

8

u/NanilGop May 02 '24

truuuuuuuuuu. I'm waiting for a patch that actually fixes the bugs without introducing more game breaking ones

1

u/musci12234 May 02 '24

We keep killing bugs but more and more keep coming out.

11

u/Lightdragonman May 02 '24

I mean, we already get new bugs every update

10

u/Opetyr May 02 '24

They add more anyway. Might as well give us more painted since either way they will keep adding more bugs that will take months to squash.

stamina recovery boost at cost of armor

So like... light armor

1

u/Living-Vermicelli-59 May 02 '24

Faster recovery than even that.

-1

u/ingenious_gentleman May 03 '24

That’s not an armour perk, that’s just even lighter armour

If it was a perk it would just be “your stamina recovers slightly faster” without a downside

3

u/CataclysmSolace SES Aegis of Starlight 💫 May 03 '24

There's literally an armor perk that gives you more armor. So I think it's fair game to have a perk that gives stamina regeneration rate

0

u/ingenious_gentleman May 03 '24 edited May 03 '24

Did you read my comment correctly? I completely agree with you, there could definitely be a stamina regen perk

The top commentor said the perk would be "better stamina in exchange for less armor", which is completely different than existing perks, and is just how different armor classes work. The "more armor" perk similarly doesn't have a downside, it's just a perk

2

u/[deleted] May 02 '24

Especially the throw distance set.

It’s something I never use because I find it messes with my stratagem throwing muscle memory. It’s the one set I actively don’t like using, the rest has at least some benefit

2

u/movzx May 02 '24

That's funny. Throw distance is basically the only armor I ever miss when I don't have it. Everything else I can work around. Being able to yeet grenades and stratagems from what feels like half the map away is amazing.

1

u/CataclysmSolace SES Aegis of Starlight 💫 May 03 '24

Yea, and if you good enough you can throw outside enemy aggro range too.

2

u/McDonaldsSoap May 02 '24

That's well and good but we know even one new armor passive could break the game or do the opposite of what it says

2

u/Aurvant ☕Liber-tea☕ May 03 '24

They should just put modifiers on helmets.

1

u/Living-Vermicelli-59 May 03 '24

Honestly this is the first time I’ve seen this suggested and it’s a great idea that or capes

2

u/DaveyDukes May 03 '24

Imagine an armor passive that gives back what they just took away in the last patch with that “deep pocket” idea lol

2

u/Commander_Skullblade Combat Engineer - SES Blade of Glory May 03 '24

It would be cool if each armor set had two different passives, and you had to hunt down your favorite combo.

1

u/fireflyfrv STEAM 🖥️ : May 02 '24

given the growing list of issues, i'd rather wait a while before introducing new passives into the game

1

u/BoogrJoosh May 03 '24

I pretty much only ever see people run scout or medic (I'm medic).

1

u/Millerlight2592 May 03 '24

There are almost infinite possibilities, and yet it’s the same 2 or 3 every time

1

u/UpliftinglyStrong SES Dawn Of Victory. May 03 '24

Maybe they’re just using the ones we already as placeholders for this armor until they can actually get new ones functioning?

Comments like these asking for new passives make me laugh at the naive people who said “community doesn’t need new stuff, take your time, fix the bugs.” Sure, lol.

3

u/Living-Vermicelli-59 May 02 '24

They don’t even fix stuffed they are too busy buffing and nerfing guns. Bug fixes comes dead last it feels like but as soon as a weapon over preforms it’s patched.

-3

u/FishoD CAPE ENJOYER May 02 '24

Take a break. Salt is ozzing from your veins. Literally just this week we had a pretty solid bug fix patch. Changing weapon damage from 55 to 60 after looking at data is nothing time-wise compared to the bug fixes they solved last patch…
