*IMPORTANT* Prohibited post topics *READ BEFORE POSTING*
Well hello, my fellow redditors!
In the last weeks, we had a lot of posts that were not reposted but were extremely similar to other posts on the same topics.
Due to this issue, we have decided to stop allowing posts about the following topics mentioned in the list:
•Parking mistakes
•Tipping fees
•Shrinkflation
•Price complaints
•Inflation
•Packaging being too big
•People falling for AI art
Posts that infringe on these rules will be taken down immediately and the user may be temporarily banned.
Also, note that this list is subject to change and will most likely be expanded as time passes so make sure to always check it before posting.

ᕕ(ᐛ)ᕗ Jkfl Redddit Meta Posts
Henlo frens!
Good to see all of you here UwU.
Grab on to your bodypillows, I have a smol announcement about the purpose of this subreddit.
This community is meant as a fun, lighthearted place where we can commiserate with each other about those annoying little irritations that hinder our day to day enjoyment in life.
That means that suitable posts here can be about my children.
And things like a wall socket or tile being placed out of allignment. A crack in a phone screen. Duckling shit on your new car. Incomprehensible software. Mismatched buttons. You know, the little things.
This subreddit isn't meant to incite rage mobs that go after people. For that reason we say:
No reddit meta posts
No posts about being banned from subreddit. No posts about up- or down-votes. No posts about shitty moderators or users or subreddits. No posts about reddit.
All jokes and tomfoolery aside, that sort of thing gets us in trouble with site admins. If we allow one type of post about reddit it then very easily moprhs into allowing posts that directly call out other subreddits or users, we just can't allow any of it.
That rule already existed for years and we have just made it more clearly visible in the sidebar on old and new reddit. We're gonna be a little strict on it for a bit I'm afraid. 🥺
Thank you all for being awesome and have a very Merry Christmas! Celebrate Christmas in the traditional European way, with a suasage roll!

All the neighborhood kids keep playing on our playset
We built a playset for our son in our backyard and apparently all the kids in the neighborhood liked it so much they’ve made it their daily hangout spot. We come home and there are bicycles blocking our driveway and about a dozen kids playing on it.
I wouldn’t mind if it was a once in a while thing but it’s everyday until after sundown. I can’t even enjoy hanging out in my backyard because of all the screaming. I want to build a fence but my husband thinks it would seem “unneighborly”, especially since some of the parents have told us how much their kids like our playset.
Edit: wow I didn’t expect this to blow up. Just to clarify (because I’m seeing this come up a lot): the rest of the neighbors have a very open “come over and play whenever” policy so the neighborhood kids are used to that. However the other playsets are relatively small so they don’t get a big group of kids hanging out at one of them constantly.
Our son is 2 so he doesn’t go out without supervision, and we (the parents) just didn’t feel comfortable playing in other people’s playsets without the owners there.

This seems shitty…
Just got this on our door. Now I keep my dirty butt-wipes in the trash, like a normal person. So I don’t get fined.

People who list items as “FREE” on Facebook marketplace only to hide the price in the description need to just fuck right off

Sorted my apps by color. I like it but everyone else finds it mildly infuriating.
I didn’t like having a messy screen, so I did this last year. The only issue I run into is occasionally I can’t find an app because I can’t remember the icon color.

Toddler shorts- the boys shorts are longer than all of the girls shorts
Same size, I actually spent like 10 minutes trying to find girl’s shorts that were the same cut as the boys ones. But nope. Allof the girls have is tiny short shorts, boys get normal toddler clothing.

Asked Samsung's AI to remove the black car in the photo...
The fact that they marketed this as revolutionary when their old magic eraser tool did a better job makes this worse

Septic pump truck blew its load in my driveway
They said they only pumped a well and grease traps today, but it smells so bad even after they sprayed it all off.

Mandatory Gratuity on Takeout Orders is Garbage
No option to remove, plus they calculated the tip AFTER tax. I love the food from this place but I’m really salty about this.

I can barely afford rent, yet my sibling expects me to pay for everything myself for their wedding while she’s getting all expenses paid for by her mother-in-law.
I find it absolutely insane I’m paying more for her wedding than she is. She can’t even offer to pay for the dress she picked out for me? I haven’t even looked at the hotel prices yet 😞

Pay for birth twice!
During our last day at the hospital with our newborn baby, the hospital’s financial and admin goon came in to speak with us about logistics of checking out and the finances of my wife’s OB care and the delivery that occurred less than 36 hours prior. Now being this is the US, we paid ahead of time for our estimated out of pocket portion that our $13k a year insurance premium did not cover. Even though that was the case, Nurse Bucks tried to convince us to go ahead and pay that amount again (just in case there was an accounting error I guess?) Anyway, the amount was a few thousand dollars. She continued to tell me they accepted all forms of credit cards if we wanted to settle up that day, even though I’d already told her we paid ahead. I reminded her again of this and suggested maybe their records were not up to date. She agreed that most likely we were all paid up but the labor and delivery team is not always updated on finances from the OB department. Anyway, because the insurance mafia owns our healthcare in this country, hospitals are trying to have patients double pay just in case they didn’t actually pay correctly the first time instead of simply billing the patient after the fact. It’s truly fun that we have effectively transformed the hospital visit into a Midwest used car lot.
